I felt it necessary to follow up to a recent story that was published in Cincinnati Post. It was the 1 in 3 believe 9-11 conspiracy theory. I must admit that at first I was overwhelmed with joy that our local paper was actually starting to have real journalism and talk about real issues. Then I read the story and it was a total debunk to make the actual people around the world who feel there was something not right about 9-11, to look like over reacting conspiracy theorists.

Honestly I could care less what is done with this letter, but I feel that I should speak my mind and Ill tell you some things that I have not told many people at all. From 1995 till 2002 I was a Sergeant in the United States Army. Not only this, but I was stationed at United States Central Command, which is located at MacDill AFB in Tampa Florida. I was on active duty when 9-11 happened. In the days prior to the tragedies, we were involved in many exercises. Some of these exercises included the scenarios of hijacked planes crashing into, our building[,] the world trade center, the White House, Sears Tower, and the Pentagon. These drills or exercises as we called them, where classified Top Secret. Having a Top Secret rated clearance I was dumbfounded that they would ever push a training exercise above the level of Secret. Over my 8 years in the Army, I had participated in many exercises around the world, none of which were ever classified over the Secret level.Ill start by saying a few months prior it was announced by President Bush that Dick Cheney would be heading up operations over NORAD our North American Aerospace Defense Command. Along with many of my peers, we were shocked. Over the years, if you research NORAD, it has always been under the command of a Military officer. It was done this way because the defense of this country has always been in the hands of such. Prior to the months before 9-11 this was all of the sudden changed. Like I said, if you research NORAD and the command structure you will find that it was imposed long ago that the military should be in control of the order to scramble planes in the defense of American air space. For some strange reason, Bush changed this and gave that power to a civilian person on his Staff team yes I know, very interesting.

So, I was standing in the SCIF (Secure Compartmented Information Facility), which is basically this underground bunker command post for USCENTCOM, when the first plane hit. We were watching the fly patterns of all the planes on the aerospace grid. This contained not only all commercial flights at the time, but all military flights, and fake enemy planes that were supposedly put on there for the exercise. Many of the planes sent to intercept the fake blips were scrambled from Andrews which is an air defense AFB for the East Coast. They were sent across the US and left very few planes to defend the capital. After the first plane hit the tower we were all in disbelief. After the initial shock was over, our questions were what are the odds this could happen for real, during a training exercise thats covering the same scenario? We were all at wits end. Then to top all of this off, Cheney gave NORAD the order to stand down scrambling jets to intercept. A few moments later tower 2 was hit. Only after the Pentagon was hit, did he give the orders to scramble the jets to intercept the plane bound for the White House.

To delve even further, as Im standing there watching the towers collapse, next to me is one of my good friends and a former commander of the Army Corps of Engineers. He is a demolitions expert. He was even more surprised than me. When the towers collapsed he kept saying this isnt right, this isnt right. When I asked him what he was talking about he told me that steel buildings dont fall down that way. Even if they are struck by objects; he went on to say that in theory if the top 10 floors were hit, then possibly just that part of the building would fall over and off, but the rest would remain standing. When I asked him, not understanding the implications of demolitions, he told me that it looked as if they were brought down by controlled demolitions. I was utterly amazed, but after he said that it did sort of appear that way.

I have no doubt this is a real army guy, BUT I'm wondering if his views/knowlege expressed was shaped from 9/11 truth documentaries, seems to good to be true and follows a lot of main 9/11 truth talking points. Sorry, can't help but be skeptical...as much as the Vanity Fair NORAD article confirms some of this. Any takes on this?

Pretty incredible, never the less. We can now confidently state that the 9/11 wargames were NOT typical in any way, because they were 'Top Secret' whereas every other exercise had been labeled no higher than 'Secret'. This is a very strong new talking point to reinforce the wargame evidence. On top of that we have the long- awaited confermation of the Cheney stand- down order! This is even more incredible. Totally blows the NORAD tapes out of the water. Hopefully it will prompt more Air Defense whistleblowers...

I would love to be wildly optimistic, but it is unlikely to be easy to achieve any worthwhile changes, even if there are a hundred whistleblowers. Anyone familiar with how the Kennedy investigations were distorted and inhibited (recommend Gaeton Fonzi - The Last Investigation) will know that we are going to need a lot of skillful work to succeed in restoring our republic. Of course, once there are reasonable grounds to indict we can throw the perps in Gitmo with no lawyers, no charges, no visitors, not even habeas corpus. This item reminds me of a Google Video that was circulating earlier this year depicting the "confession" of an Iraq War veteran claiming to be responsible for hundreds of deaths of innocent people. It turned out to be a hoax. Which then simply became an embarrassment for the anti-war movement.
Have you thoroughly vetted Lauro Chavez by talking to him by phone or at a minimum emailing him to confirm his story?
At this point in time, I think a high degree of skepticism is in order with regard to Chavez's claims.
1) As of July 1, 2001, an order was issued by the office of the Secretary of Defense transferring final authority on NORAD intercepts from the military high command to the SecDef. Chavez doesn't have his facts right on this one.
2) It would be extraordinary for mere sargent to have the relationship described this way: "one of my good friends and a former commander of the Army Corps of Engineers. He is a demolitions expert."
3) Chavez states: "a few months prior it was announced by President Bush that Dick Cheney would be heading up operations over NORAD"
This, quite simply, cannot be true. First, Rumsfeld quietly introduced the regulatory change that he would be in charge of hijack situations. Second, the announcement of this was not well known to the 9/11 research community until about mid-2003.

The reason I write this is because I am concerned about the propensity of our movement to fail to understand that unless we come up with hard evidence and clear facts, we are simply going to be spinning our wheels, just as the JFK assassination investigation community has done for the past 43 years.
Efforts such as that of Lauro Chavez don't seem to further our cause, in my humble opinion.

The reaction of his friend, a demolition expert, upon seeing the towers fall is the same reaction many familiar with demolitions had,
even reporters said the same thing on 9/11. Thermite does have a distinct signature and odor and is used in c-4 according to our own

it is true that NORAD authority to shoot down hijacked planes was given to Cheney by Bush in prior months - an unprecented move in ]
military history and this is documented by truthers as well. What appears to be new information presented by this man is that the Cheney gave the stand down order to military right before the second plane hit and he heard this order comtemporaneously with its being issued. If he and others can verify this, that would be a very big deal.

Lauro Chavez says is very damning to Dick Cheney and the rest of the criminals in the Bush administration, but when you consider the risk that he is taking by speaking out you CANNOT simply think that this man is a fake. What would he have to gain but a few days of notoriety in the 9/11 Truth Movement which is mainly limited to the Internet? For this do you really think he would claim to be a part of USCENTCOM and have access to such information that he claims in his letter to the editor of The Cincinnati Post? I seriously doubt that.
At a recent 9/11 Truth meeting Lauro struck me as being very sincere and knowledgeable in his efforts to expose the truth about 9/11. We will find out more in time.
Let his story be fully vetted. We have all been waiting for more government/military personnel to come forward with inside information. You certainly do not have any qualifications to discredit him solely based on a letter you have read no matter how many 9/11 documentaries you may have watched over the Internet.

because of what he has stated. If he's making this up, he's likely to be in some very deep s*&t with the military and gov't for falsifying information against the US gov't and naming names as well, in terms of what other military had to say on the subject, especially naming tCheney as giving a stand down order around the time the second plane hit. As a young man with military background, he has to know this isn't going to sit well with them and may constitiute treason if it were not true I find it unlikely someone would be willing to risk that in order to pull off a hoax. He is additionally at risk if his story is true. Just look at what has happened to military personnel who have spoken up recently.
Also, being ex-military would not necessarily shield him from charges of treason
by clearly stating Cheney ordered a stand down well before whatever

Mineta responds to an opening question by Commissioner Hamilton about the events in the PEOC and an alleged shoot down order. He describes a conversation between Cheney and a young man:
Mineta: "During the time that the airplane was coming into the Pentagon, there was a young man who would come in and say to the Vice President…the plane is 50 miles out…the plane is 30 miles out….and when it got down to the plane is 10 miles out, the young man also said to the vice president "do the orders still stand?" I'd like to start by saying that I dont appreciate my letter being stripped down. Also, let me clairfy on the Cheney order. I in no way ever heard Cheney give the order to stand down. I was at USCENTCOM and I don t know where he was. But I was told that there was an order to stand down. So, who gave the order I dont know, BUT NORAD should have scrambled planes to intercept. Thats what the instructions are ...very simple thing to do.
Also, I didnt choose to come out and blow the wistle - it chose its own time. Out of pure and utter disbelief toward the Cincy post - I wrote that letter. And i just wanted to get this stuff off my chest. Do you know what its like knowing something that not many people know and not being able to say anything because you'll either be passed off as some idiot fake or shot and killed.
I fear not death, but I do fear for my children growing up in this world. Thats why I did this. Thats why I joined the military.
I do work at Domin-8 as their Information security manager. Call me sometime, since you have my signiture block - also, i put that there so that Mr White didnt think I was some weirdo.

Richard A. Clarke gave this administration more than enough time to prepare for the attacks of 9/11. All of our military assets were away on exercises that morning allowing a hole in our defenses enabling the attacks to happen. Americans need to start asking a lot of questions right now. We need to stand by our rights given to us by United States Constitution.
I should not need to mention the next disaster in Amercian history but I feel that is is neccesary to further the point, that date is 8/29. This is when Katrina made second landfall and the second time we were let down by this administration.

This is intended to be a gently correction not a flame. Part of the problem with our lack of control of our gov't is our lack of understanding of how this all works. I see this notion I see voiced by many a good folks who love this country, however we are/were not grant/ed rights by the Constitution. Our rights inhere in us, the Constitution is intented to be a chain on government, our rights are antecedent to the state. In fact we are not a party to the Constitution. This is why we always get balled up when we go into court demanding our Constitutional rights. If the gov't grants us rights, they can take them away. Our rights are granted to us by God and only he can take them away.
This court case is instructive:
But, indeed, no private person has a right to complain, by suit in court, on the ground of a breach of the Constitution. The Consitution it is true, is a compact, but he is not a party to it.

Excuse me? Now you don't know who gave the order? Scrolling up, I can still read this:
"Then to top all of this off, Cheney gave NORAD the order to stand down scrambling jets to intercept."
That's contradictionary, and doesn't help the cause of truth. We need precise witness reports.
Could you please modify your letter to the Cincinnati Post and make it a full witness report, removing all ambigous parts, separate facts from comments, and facts from what your personal impression was (but leave that personal stuff in)? It would be extremely helpfull, if you could put this testimony down as a signed affidavit as well...

I beleive that it was Cheney that gave the order to stand down - thats my opinion. I know for a fact that there was an order given, because we were told when we asked about why defense measures were not taken. After all I have read and studdied, that was my opinion - what people dont understand is that my letter to the editor, was a rant. It included both facts and my opinions. In my radio interviews, i'll clarify them. Me saying that Cheney gave the order to stand down is what I beleive to be true. That order WAS given, and only him or someone higher than him has that power over NORAD.
I'm am in now way trying to hinder what the truth movement is doing, but what i can do is provide with certainty, that there was prior knowledge. I know about as much of the full story as any of you - and we will probably never know the true story. I felt it my duty to speak out and say that i bore witness to many thilngs that were not public. Like the exercises taken place and the senarios proposed in those excercises. Speaking with my friend, the former commander of ACOE was true. And those who dont believe a mere sgt could speak to such a high ranking official, need to do your homework on central command. I only worked with Colonel's O6 or Above.
Also, I understand many of you will be skeptical of me - good thats your job - but it does not change the fact that I know what I know and saw the things I saw. Now, if you want to bash me for that - for your interpertation of my letter instead of asking my intent of the letter - then thats fine.
We have too large of a battle ahead of us to be fussing back and fourth with each other. I hope that my intentions to speak out will cause more military personnel that knew to speak out as well.

Don't take the skepticism too hard. If you've been following the truth movement at all over the past 5 years, you know that the amount of intentional disinfo churned out in that time could fill volumes. This (leaked?) letter to the editor - half testimony and half opinion - is a poor first exposure to your story. A signed affadavit of your eyewitness account will help a lot. Best of luck.

I' from the Truth Movement in Europe - we first were very happy about your whistleblowing but then a litte bit concerned how we can verify it. in Europe there are (compared with the US) not so many 911 truth groups and websites, but there are some authors who publish books or articles. I'm writing on the internet, mainly about womens' affairs but my "hobby" is 911 truth. I'm in a network with authors in Germany and we see 911 as a "secret government MIHOP". That means we focus on drills on 911 and able danger and other things and not on pods or no planes. (Most of us doubt planes at Pentagon and Shanksville while we don't check blurred pictures from the world trade center impact - it's just a matter of priorities and our "smoking guns" are physical impossibilities and "excerise going real" like london 7/7).
We don't want to bash you because it's important that you speak out when your story is true. But we have waited so long for a whistleblower saying 911 was an exercise going real that we hardly could believe our luck. Please understand that we quote you with some restraint at the mass media and their propaganda are very strong in suppressing critical 911 thinking in our countries (in Germany and Switzerland at least sometimes some kind of challenging the official conspiracy theory is possible and in Austria no corporate newspaper or magazine hat ever done something else than spreading the official story and bashing dissent.
Perhaps we'd like to have a big movement where we can "bash" each other but our conditions force us to pragmatism. We have to check every new assertion, especially when it proves our theories. It's important for the American 911 movement and for the whole world that the 911 truth comes into the mainstream in each country because 911 is the basic lie of international politics. we have to prevent the coming war against Iran - and we don't have much time for it. One chance can be the exposure of the 911 myth and to spread plausible versions of what has happened - I favor the "drill went real"-version that can include planes, drones, partly planes and missiles or what combination ever. In Europe this is the somewhat "natural approach" because we knew the NATO-CIA false flag-terror called "Gladio" which created terrorist groups in different countries and used them to intimidate people by bombing places where ordinary folk was. the Gladio-guided terrorists where also used to hijack or assassinate politicians who challenge Angloamerican hegemony. So it is perhaps easier for us to see "Al Qaida" as a new version of "Gladio" and not be distracted by Bin Laden-Videos and stuff like that. In Greece Gladio operated a terrorist cell called November 19 which was "prosecuted" by anti terror units. Then it turned out that the terroists and the anti-terror-units were identical - for us Able Danger/Able Warrior sound similar.
Dear Lauro, I was a bit skeptical about your letter because you said you were 25 and have a 9 year old daughter. Well, teenage pregnancies can happen, but when did you then join the military? As you have given your military record to Alex Jones (his website is also known well in Europe) it is clear that you were born in 1976 and meant that you were 25 in 2001. The other point was that your friend at the military spoke of controlled demolition - I think an expert for military explosives could recognize that WTC 1 & 2 were far beyond crontrolled demolition (like WTC 7 was).
There some whistleblowing would also be useful as the question is discussed what brought the towers down (environmental organisations have never seen dust so fine pulverized; the volunteers suffered from various diseases that remind us of radiation poisoning et cetera). And perhaps others taking part in the drills and being shocked when they realized that everything went real could also speak out....

I don't know what it is but I've seen enough videos of controlled demolition and they look more like WTC 7 than like WTC 1 & 2. and if you mind the surroundings of a building brought down by controlled demolition there are houses in the vincinity and also cars. of course no people, but more precautions don't seen to be necessary. and afterwards there seemed to be no health hazard. of couse WTC 1 & 2 were much bigger than the buildings in these examples, but you can't attribute everything to that. the towers exploded more than it was like an implosion, you see pyroclastic flow streaming from the top. huge parts of the outer steel structure were smashed into other buildings. the poor people trapped on the top of the buildings were torn to very tiny parts forming a bone dust could. this spring 700 human parts were discovered on the roof of the Deutsche Bank building.
witnesses say they were blown up by a hot dust cloud and fell down after a few meters; most say they couldn't see where they were. there are pictures (of course they have to be verified but they proably were once taken by mainstream media photographers and are now on 911 movement pages) of burnt cars away from "ground zero". a power down is reported not only affecting cables which were surely sometimes cut by the falling towers but also radio communication and cell phones. some attribute this to EMP (electromagnetic pulse). environmental organisations tested the dust and said they'd never seen concrete pulverized so much; it were the finest particles ever measured. of course all this is not typical for controlled demlotion and also not the various diseases of the frist responders.
I've heard the 20 september program on http://www.gunsandbutter.net were these helpers complain at a meeting that so many of them are dying; every speaker has severe lung problems. one lets a number of people in the audience get up and then explains that if they were first responders they will be dead wihthin 4 years. the list of symptoms of the volunteers could be attributed to radiation as there are many symptoms possible and some are "typical" like loosing the hair - which happened to some. residents who were volunteers and got sick were "decontaminated" in a detox program but then went back to their contaminated apartments. elder people who could not afford to leave new york had "no chance", and some companies hired workers for cleaning which got sick or died (see indira singh on guns and butter, part one).
from all this I would not rule out some kind of hydrogen or thermonuclear weapon. I think we can be sure that the explosives which caused such tremendous effects are not in the arsenal of a few companies offering controlled demolition. and at last two quite strange observations: after 9/11 media were filled with alleged danger that terrorists could start another attack with nuclear weapons. why were such stories present in the aftermath, was it some kind of preemptive measure? and why was the pile called ground zero after a few days (media often used "the day after" as a title or subtitle in their stories)? second observation: 80 "unexpected" radioactive hop spots where found in new york now (nowhere else was an official search for that as articles claim). no names of places are given, exept 2 or 3 locations in parks.

Was that classified when Bush said it, never saw that in the public record. I did see orders issued by Vice Admiral Fry June 1, of 2001 that put Rumsfeld in charge of scrable authorizations.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction CJCSI 3610.01A (dated 1
June 2001) was issued for the purpose of providing "guidance to the Deputy Director for Operations (DDO), National Military Command Center (NMCC), and operational commanders in the event of an aircraft piracy (hijacking) or request for destruction of derelict airborne objects." This new instruction superseded CJCSI 3610.01 of 31 July 1997.
This CJCSI states that "In the event of a hijacking, the NMCC will be
notified by the most expeditious means by the FAA. The NMCC will, with the exception of immediate responses as authorized by reference d, forward
requests for DOD assistance to the Secretary of Defense for approval."

I fully believe what you say. I didn't know if you were following this post, but now that I see you are, I would like to address you personally. First of all, please bear in mind that most of the people
posting here have never been in the position you are in now, risking personal safety by coming forward to do the right thing. They simply do not understand the fear and repercussions that accompany such an action. While I commend all truthers for taking a stand - you simply cannot know the personal costs of coming forward with meaningful testimony truly means until you've been there yourself and put your own life, and less importantly, reputation on the line for what you believe. Also, one in this position also fears for his family. It is truly agonizing and I know a lot of soul searching went on before you posted your letter to the paper. I am familar with this agony not as a truther (I do not have unique insight or testimony to provide to the Truth movement) but as a witness in a highly publicized mafia case who learned of FBI
corruption and went to the paper over it. I chose to do the right thing and I personally know the costs of making that decision. On the webpage www.prisonplanet.com you have been asked to substantiate your service with the military and come forward - substantiate your claims. That's a big step to take. You'll be in the limelight. Your life may change, alot. 911ers have been waiting a long time for someone in the military to come forward, as you have. There are many, many others who know what you know. They have not, as yet, shown the courage you have. I ask you to think about going to the website prisonplanet.com and telling your story. It's that important. I think you know it is already. It is my opinion that you and your family would be in fact be safer than you already are by more people knowing your story. That's my opinion.

He goes by the name LJ and he is for real because I work with him at Domin-8. He will be going live on Alex Jones today at 12:30 eastern I am told. Everyone needs to know that this letter he wrote was only a letter to the editor for the Cincinnati Post and was never published to LJ or my knowledge. I also wrote a letter to the editor and this is what sparked LJ to contact Mr. White at the Cincinnati Post with his letter. Going public was never intended with this letter as it is an opinion mixed with fact piece.
LJ does have insider information which I assume will be clarified today on Alex Jones. Some how his letter was leaked and got all over the internet without his knowledge so please try and give the guy a break here.

I saw that original article, and it irritated the sh** out of me, as so many of the "conspiracy" debunking articles do.
I had EXACTLY the opposite reaction when I read your letter! I thought: "this guy's in for some sh** now!"
After reading all the coments, (more irritation, unfortunately) it seems that, in the end, and especially after seeing the pdf of your discharge, the concensus has changed, and there is definitely more acceptance of your statements (there should NOT have been such "bashing" in the first place!).

The Towers were constructed by stringers holding the outer walls together. Any failure of a sequential portion of those stringers would have caused the binding forces on the remainder of the structure to rend and become unstable. That, coupled with the force of a 300,000 Lb plus aircraft , and the dibilating effect of the extreme heat generated by the burning fuel was enough to cause the structures to loose their integrity, and subsequently collapse inwardly. Also, think of this, if you stack dominoes so high, then smack them one forth of the way down, what happens? Just my thoughts. Thanks.

Do you have the blueprints of the wtc I heard they disappeared. Not like it really matters anymore and the structure was built 100 times stronger then it should have been you could have people side by side fill up the building without any problems. The builders also learned from the time the empire state building was hit by a cargo plane so if a plane hit the WTC it would be like a fly smashing into a wall..

dominoes or pancakes or wet noodles can't explain the collapse of a complex constructed building with strong core columns, columns at the outer walls, trusses and floors. some structural engineers stated that the WTC was designed to withstand the impact of SEVERAL boeing 707. the 707 is comparable to a 767 and has a higher maximum speed. of course the constructers thought of a plane with fuel (probably short after takeoff, i.e. practically with full tanks) - that's what the supporters of the official conspiracy theory now deny. but have you ever heard of a plane without fuel crashing into buildings?
IF the towers could have been brought to collapse by airplane impact and weakening of structural steel then the collapse would not have been symmetrical. in fact steel is an excellent conductor of heat which means if you heat one end the heat goes to the other side so it takes a long time to make the whole steel beam hotter. in the film "911 mysteries" which you can see on the internet kerosene heaters are shown that use jet grade fuel.

Where Are the 9/11 Whistleblowers?
I see a number of red flags here.
- Why would any real whistleblower write "I could care less what is done with this letter"?
- The author doesn't write in a style that I would expect of someone with a "Top Secret rated clearance."
- How many sergeants have Top Secret rated clearance? I am not playing an attorney here -- meaning, I don't know the answer. Maybe someone can enlighten me. But it seems possible that the author is trying to simultaneously play to some kind of "everyman" theme, while also claiming to be some super-insider with the clearance claim.
