This may have been a provocateur being 'arrested' by his compatriots, as was suggested in the comments at Rawstory. From the rawstory article:
"Military members supporting the G20 Summit work with local law enforcement authorities but do not have the authority to make arrests. The individuals involved in the 9/24/09 arrest which has appeared online are law enforcement officers from a multi-agency tactical response team assigned to the security operations for the G20. It is not unusual for tactical team members to wear camouflaged fatigues. The type of fatigues the officers wear designates their unit affiliation.
Prior to the arrest, the officers observed this subject vandalizing a local business. Due to the hostile nature of the crowd, officer safety and the safety of the person under arrest, the subject was immediately removed from the area.”
Law enforcement officers in camo? A 'multi-agency tactical response team'? Has anyone seen these camo guys elsewhere at the protests?

I find it "coincidental" that a rash of terrorists with explosives have recently been "discovered" in time for the G-20. In fact, NBC on Thursday night took time to emphatically mention the recent "terrorist plots" while they were covering G-20...and this before the Dallas bomb breaking news.

another thing, there are it seems 3 goons, two are wearing black combat boots, the driver is wearing desert combat boots. If they were military, why the uniform variables? The one who does the shoving has a holstered weapon (or simulation) on his right hip, weird. The guy being arrested (abducted, staged abducted?) doesn't seem to be putting up much of a fight.
Weird indeed. Did anyone else see the plain-clothed man who apparently gets into the front passenger seat? One possibility worth considering is that it's a hoax, and the police who let them pass were fooled by it too. The G20 security might have owned up to it to save face. Can't wait 'til more information comes out.
This video of a CNN reporter getting gassed also features sonic devices of some sort, high pitched sirens aimed at the crowd. I haven't seen this at a riot before.
i'm not in favor of 'overthrowing' the government- i am in favor of non-violently replacing the traitors who are running it and corporate America, thru boycotts, buycotts, elections and non-violent organized direct action. Any change needs to be, and be perceived by the People of the US and the world, as legitimate according to the Constitution.
When will the People wise up, take back the Democrat and Republican parties or boycott them and support 3rd parties or independents, turn off the TV, boycott corporate products, take their money from the banks and support credit unions, support local alternatives to global corporations?
When things get really, really bad?
Unfortunately, it seems that will probably need to happen. 'America' was socially engineered to be a consumer culture after WW2, and a large number of consumers and voters like it that way. Two stolen elections accepted by the Dems and the corporate media, decades of abuses by corporations and the elite investor class, the fraud of 9/11, 2 wars based on false pretexts and business as usual continued, despite widespread public opposition and exposure on the web- and then people voted for Obama the corporate stealth candidate en masse- 3rd parties had the worst turn out.
This global economic meltdown may have changed things- if Obushma can't jump start the jobs and shopping, he may not get reelected, and as unpopular as the Rethugs are, they may not be able to convince enough people to turn out for them. Even so, genuine progressives and conservatives are going to have to learn to use the new media and prove they do have integrity, to raise enough popular support.
