Latest High-Rise Fire Reveals More Public Skepticism of Official 9/11 Story

A high-rise building catches fire in a major city.

All occupants are evacuated safely. Fire crews arrive and begin dousing the blaze.

Fanned by high winds, the flames spread over some 15 floors above and below the 50th floor, where the fire started from an unknown cause. Shattered glass and debris from the exterior of the building fall in fireballs to the ground.

In just over two hours, firefighters extinguish the fire, and . . . yes, the steel-framed structure remains intact.

That was the scene on February 20 at 2:00 AM in Dubai, the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The 79-story Marina Torch, the world's fifth-highest residential structure at 1,105 feet tall, became the latest example in a long list of skyscrapers whose steel structures have withstood major fires.

It stands in striking contrast to the three World Trade Center skyscrapers, which were destroyed on September 11, 2001, thus becoming the only skyscrapers in history whose complete collapses were blamed on fire (started, in two of the three towers, by airplane strikes and jet fuel).

The Torch inferno was reminiscent of the same country's 2012 fire, which swept through its 34-story Tamweel Tower. That blaze sent flames shooting to every single floor and lasted for more than five hours, according to the local Khaleej Times.

AE911Truth published an article last June about a three-minute video "9/11 In Perspective," in which YouTube user Scootle Royale chronicled eight of the major fires that occurred in high-rises between 1998 and 2008 in cities around the world. Many of those conflagrations lasted longer and affected more floors than the fires that the U.S. government's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) blamed for the complete destruction of the WTC 1, 2, and 7 on 9/11. Yet none of the main steel-framed structures in those eight fires cited by Royale suffered irreparable damage.

This strong record of fire-resistant steel structures complements the overwhelming scientific evidence and eyewitness testimony that point to the obvious truth that the collapse of three WTC skyscrapers could not have been caused by fire (or a combination of plane impacts, kerosene, and fire).

The more that videos of skyscraper infernos are disseminated on YouTube, the more suspicious viewers become of the official account of the WTC skyscrapers' destruction.

CNN host Anderson Cooper received many remarks on his AC360 Facebook post about the Dubai fire. By far the highest-rated comments on his post were made by skeptics who used the scorched Torch as a forum to challenge the official explanation of the WTC towers' collapse. Below is a selection of observations from the 9/11 Truth perspective:

— "As a welder who knows the metallurgical principles of steel, 9/11 was a demolition not a collapse!! RIP to the victims."

— "Yeah because this does not look like an obvious demolition. Fire always brings down buildings in a near symmetrical collapse at near free fall speeds into the direction of its own footprint."

— "It is IMPOSSIBLE to completely destroy a high rise steel framed building to the ground (dismembering all the core columns and pulverizing all the concrete to dust) at ANY speed by any method, other then the method of controlled demolition! Period!"

— "From real world examples of steel buildings with column failures on whole floors, we can see that a global collapse was most certainly not 'inevitable' as NIST assumes."

— "Twin Towers exploded outward — they didn't collapse down. There is not a jolt from the impact of an upper section hitting the intact lower section. The upper block is itself disintegrated and explodes outward. It does not EXIST to act as a pile driver. There are no pancaked floors."

— "so curious to know...did it collapse from the extreme heat? like building 7 did . . . without a plane hitting it?? yeah i didn't think so."

— "Hey Anderson . . . what about the real story??? How come buildings only fall at free fall on 9/11???"

Sarcasm notwithstanding, these commenters are referring to the conclusion formed by the dozens of technical professionals featured in the documentary 9/11: Explosive Evidence — Experts Speak Out. What they are saying, some with tongue firmly in cheek, is that the only logical explanation for the complete destruction of the three WTC skyscrapers is controlled demolition.
