U.S. Defense Department officials entered negotiations to buy and destroy all 10,000 copies of the first printing of an Afghan war memoir that they claim has intelligence secrets, the New York Times reported.

The publication, “Operation Dark Heart”, by Anthony A. Shaffer, a former Defense Intelligence Agency officer and a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve has divided military security reviewers and it’s unclear what information in the book is actually a genuine threat to security.

From They Want Us to Know: On Conspiracies and Cover-ups via the In Case You Missed It RSS Feed

The Transparent Conspiracy is a collection of essays written between 2006 and 2010, mainly about the 911 and JFK conspiracies and cover up, with a short collection of poems on the same topic. Morrisey’s latest book is a definite departure from other conspiracy literature. Morrissey has no interest in proving or disproving either the 911 or the JFK conspiracy – he feels this territory is well-covered by other authors. The topic of this book is mass psychology. Morrissey believes our government’s propaganda arm (whatever they call it now) is fully aware that a well-managed conspiracy cover-up can have a very intimidating effect, which can be very effective in keeping the public docile and obedient.

Specifically he argues there is major value (from the government point of view) in disclosing a limited amount of information concerning government culpability in atrocities such as the JFK assassination and 911. He bases his view on something he calls “Transparency Theory” – thus his title The Transparent Conspiracy. He says the CIA has long recognized that “telling part of the truth is the best way to lie.” They even have a term for it: “white propaganda.” Morrissey argues that for the government to brazenly commit criminal acts can be quite effective in demoralizing and alienating the tuned-in segment of the population that fully comprehends the corrupt nature of our government institutions. He then lays out the hypothetical question: if the reality of the 911 conspiracy were widely accepted by the American public, would they be capable of doing anything about it? Morrissey believes that at this point in history they would be powerless (that they lack the power to bring the culprits to trial or even impeach them). Which he contends is a powerful basis for demoralization and alienation.

David Frum Connects CIA Tapes to 9/11

Based on two active US intelligence sources, I was the first to disclose Zubaydah's interrogation. To date, I am the only reporter to have printed the info about what happened to him.

Zubaydah, wounded when he was captured in Pakistan, was fooled in a fake flag operation to believe that the Saudis held him. Instead of being afraid of the ‘Saudis,’ he demanded to talk to three Saudi princes (one, the nephew of the King, who happened to be in the U.S. on 9/11). He gave his interrogators the private cell phone numbers of all 3. He did the same regarding the chief of Pakistan's air force.

This is insane! They have managed to skew Ron Paul's debate comments and connect them to a story about 9/11 Truth so they can attack them both at once. Fox never ceases to amaze me! Hitler could've only dreamed of this type of propaganda machine.

J.D. Tuccille, a libertarian writer whose columns have appeared in the Washington Times, the Arizona Republic and others and is usually a well reasoned individual, just published a blog entry titled "Something that's not Bush's fault". From reading it, it's easy to tell he has dismissed the idea outright due to "government incompetence".

I'm not going to bother engaging in a point-by-point rebuttal of 9/11 conspiracy theories. I'll just ask: Do you really think that a government that routinely loses laptop computers containing important data when it's not leaking like a sieve by design, and which regularly screws up important missions, is actually capable of carrying out a massive conspiracy to attack and defraud the American people?

If so, you have a higher regard for government competence than I do.

Digg 9/11 : Press for truth and here's why...

Exactly one week ago, I posted a link to "Improbable Collapse : The Demolition of our Republic" to Digg as well as a blog post to 911Blogger.com to help get it Dugg to the front page. Later that day, thanks to 911Blogger.com and it's visitors, it received enough Diggs to hit the front page. Because of that, it spent the next 3 days in the Google Video Top 100 where it was seen by countless others. Judging by my daily visits to Digg, it appears any Google Video link that reaches the front page reaches the Top 100 shortly thereafter.

Stay with me... For the past couple years, I've been trying to alert as many people as possible to the unanswered questions surrounding the tragic events of 9/11. Many have been open to listen once they realize there is a lot they don't know (WTC7 being the best example). However, there are many that simply won't bother to listen to something that is not broadcast on NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN or, god forbid, FOX. These people are usually the remaining "I believe the official story" percentage whenever a new poll comes out. These are also the people I began loaning my "911 : Press for Truth" DVD to immediately after I got it. Even though I was sure it would have some effect, I am amazed at the number of those people who are now asking me for other videos relating to 9/11. Apparently, this video and the mainstream media footage it contains has the ability to jumpstart the thinking process in those who have been previously unwilling to think for themselves.
