As someone who exchanged a few emails with Alexander Cockburn regarding 9-11truth, and became frustrated with his refusal to address evidence and/or research that brings into questions the government's 9-11 conspiracy myth, I was pleased to see that Counterpunch decided to print this Paul Craig Roberts essay. 9/11 Conspiracy Theory–Insane or Insightful?

I keep coming back to one question in the 9/11 conspiracy story: How did two jets knock down three New York City skyscrapers? The jets only hit two buildings, and that is a fact. I have posted a video from the group “RememberBuilding7.org” on the USAWatchdog.com site. (Click here to see Building 7 implode.) It clearly shows Building 7 of the World Trade Center imploding straight down, as if it was a controlled demolition. I am not an expert, but it sure looks like that to me. I, also, ran across this video from Corbettreport.com that summarizes the entire 9/11 conspiracy in less than 5 minutes. It was done on the 9/11 ten year anniversary. I found it very well done and factually spot on, although it goes by fast, so you must watch closely. Give it a look for yourself. As most of us know, the mainstream media are *very* reluctant to cover any news or events that question the government's impossible 9-11 conspiracy theory. lt takes something that can't be ignored to get their attention. What if we could get a few thousand people to march on WTC7? My sign would keep it simple. "Free Fall = Demolition - Demolition = Inside Job". July 7th in honor of Britain's false flag attack might be a good day. I think a massive, one day March might be more noticeable and effective than smaller, prolonged occupation. I'm not ready to throw in the towel, but I'm frustrated with how something as obvious, provable, and monumental as WTC7's demolition is ignored by the media, progressives, leaders, politicians, and academia. Let's at least shut down Manhattan for one day..

I've been a Cornell Staff member for about thirty years, and pretty much every work day, I work with metal. Mostly machining, but also, bending, shearing, welding, annealing, heating, heat treating, etc.. One thing I've learned through my experience, is that gradually heated steel loses its strength gradually, not instantly. Since WTC7's free fall and symmetric drop displayed all the characteristics of a controlled demolition, and none of a fire induced collapse, I've always been skeptical of the government's "explanation" - that gradual heating of parts of the steel frame due to limited office fires caused WTC7's drop.
