US set for trial of 9/11 suspects

MORE than six years after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, US military prosecutors are preparing to file formal charges against six high-ranking Al-Qaeda detainees, among them Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who allegedly confessed to masterminding the plot.

The accused terrorists are all being held at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. US officials said yesterday that war crime charges could be filed as early as this week, although it may be many months before the cases are ready to go to trial.

The apparent breakthrough in a heavily criticised judicial process would open the door to the first prosecutions of the alleged 9/11 ringleaders since the hijacking of four aircraft resulted in the deaths of almost 3,000 people.

The proceedings are certain to inflame worldwide criticism of the US military justice system, including the severely limited legal rights of Guantanamo detainees and the use of torture during interrogations.

Willie Nelson: I Question Official Sept. 11 Story

AUSTIN — Texas icon Willie Nelson said on a nationally syndicated radio show this week that he questions the official story of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York City.

"I certainly do," Nelson said Monday when asked by talk show host Alex Jones if he questions the official story.

"I saw those towers fall and I've seen an implosion in Las Vegas, there's too much similarities between the two. And I saw the building fall that didn't get hit by nothing," the singer-songwriter said. "So, how naive are we, you know, what do they think we'll go for?"

On Sept. 11, 2001, 19 men hijacked planes, crashing them into each of the World Trade Center's twin towers in New York City, the Pentagon and a Pennsylvania field.

Nelson, who turns 75 this year, said if he were president, he would "stop the damn war, it's just that simple."

"The way I heard it, the 15 people from Saudi Arabia hit us in New York and we go jump on Afghanistan," Nelson said. "I never could figure that one out in Iraq."

Pentagon: The internet needs to be dealt with as if it were an enemy "weapons system".

Information Operation Roadmap Part 3

The Pentagon's Information Operations Roadmap is blunt about the fact that an internet, with the potential for free speech, is in direct opposition to their goals. The internet needs to be dealt with as if it were an enemy "weapons system".

The 2003 Pentagon document entitled the Information Operation Roadmap was released to the public after a Freedom of Information Request by the National Security Archive at George Washington University in 2006. A detailed explanation of the major thrust of this document and the significance of information operations or information warfare was described by me here.

In December 1988 after a midair explosion, Pan Am flight 103 crashed in Lockerbie Scotland with the loss of 270 lives including 11 people on the ground.

In a recent MSM article, respected middle east correspondent Robert Fisk reports that there are many strange anomalies regarding this atrocity including, "..the presence of the CIA on Scottish soil before the work of identifying bodies was properly undertaken," .

Many doubts Fisk writes, have been persistently expressed about the official story of this event not least by several of the victims families.

Information Operation Roadmap Part 4

The Pentagon's plans for psychological operations or PSYOP in the global information environment of the 21st century are wide ranging and aggressive. These desires are outlined in the 2003 Pentagon document signed by Donald Rumsfeld in his capacity as the Secretary of Defense called the Information Operation Roadmap.

Also, a description of the Pentagon's desire to dominate the entire electro-magnetic spectrum and their need to "fight the net" as outline in the Information Operation Roadmap were previously described.

Failure to Cover Vital Issues Highlights Widespread US Media Corruption.

If there is anything positive to come out of the failure (up to now) of US media networks to cover the Sibel Edmonds story, it is that the issue has been a ‘litmus test’ and has highlighted what some of us have known for a long time, that the mainstream media news networks of North America are wholly and absolutely corrupt.

Of this there can now be not one shred of doubt, the story first printed in the London Sunday Times, of ongoing high level treachery within the United States government, has been covered all across the globe including in Pakistan and Israel, almost everywhere it seems apart from where it’s most important, where this clearly ‘infected’ government actually governs, in the United States itself.

Dear Sirs,

I recently read a front page article in the respected London Sunday Times entitled, “For sale:-West’s deadly nuclear secrets.” dated January 6th 2008. The information contained therein is shocking and has grave implications for the security and future of our nation.

The article tells of a US citizen and former FBI employee who is in possession of hard evidence proving high level treachery involving senior officials within our own government. The Sunday Times reports that Sibel Edmonds, who worked for the FBI as a language translator and was fired after repeatedly attempting to bring these issues to the attention of her superiors, alleges specifically:-

1- That high level officials some of whom are still in office, in the State department, the Pentagon and the Nuclear weapons establishment, conspired to provide foreign governments with highly classified information including US Nuclear weapons technology, some of which may now be in the hands of America’s enemies including incredulously, Al-Quaida.

Of course we all know this story is being media spun into an issue of torture
during interrogation of suspects, instead of the potentially more damaging
issue of deliberately and illegally destroying evidence requested by the 9/11 Commission.

New York Times Agrees to Story Correction on White House Role in Destroyed CIA Tapes

WASHINGTON — The New York Times Wednesday issued a statement agreeing to correct a story it ran earlier in the day suggesting the White House was well involved in the discussions about whether to destroy CIA tapes showing interrogation methods of two Al Qaeda terrorists.

The decision to run a correction online and in the print edition of Thursday's paper was based on the sub headline of the story.

Bush Lawyers Discussed Fate of C.I.A.Tapes

WASHINGTON — At least four top White House lawyers took part in discussions with the Central Intelligence Agency between 2003 and 2005 about whether to destroy videotapes showing the secret interrogations of two operatives from Al Qaeda, according to current and former administration and intelligence officials.

The accounts indicate that the involvement of White House officials in the discussions before the destruction of the tapes in November 2005 was more extensive than Bush administration officials have acknowledged.

As I sit in my office beginning to write my first article for American Free Press newspaper, I look out my window. I see snow covered peaks, nature at its best in Colorado. It calms me to see such beauty and thank God I’m alive with my family. As I start to write, my heart is beginning to race, my palms are sweating. I’m not as comfortable as I was just a few moments ago. I know all of you know the story of the attack on our ship, the USS LIBERTY, by the government of Israel, but it needs to be repeated.

There is a methodology to persuading others of the validity of our message, a technique to understanding and helping them overcome certain obstacles, barriers they may not even know exist.

I’m sure many of us in our movement at one time or another, have been frustrated by attempting to convince others of the validity of our views. Sometimes it can be compared to banging one’s own head against a brick wall, or trying to have a discourse with someone who has their fingers in their ears and is yelling “La La La La La “like a child.

My views when expressed to some have been initially met with ridicule and anger, but it is curious to note that when given the opportunity to put my case and steer them in the direction of the truth, after a period of what I like to call “brain digestion” most do come around.

This article begs the obvious question, what OTHER evidence have they destroyed?

CIA chief faces credibility test

CIA director General Michael Hayden has confirmed that his agency destroyed videotapes taken during the interrogations of two al-Qaeda suspects soon after 9/11.

His statement to CIA employees was widely reported nationwide by Thursday evening.

Gen Hayden - ex-Air Force Intelligence, ex-National Security Agency, amiable and widely respected - now faces a public test of his credibility.

It is a moment that seems to come to all CIA directors these days.

Think George Tenet - still widely referred to around Washington as Mr Slam Dunk, for his famous assertion that Iraq had stockpiled weapons of mass destruction.

Think Porter Goss, whose tenure at the agency was brief and fractious, and whose run-ins with senior spies led to resignations - which rapidly became public.
