4) Introduces use of nuclear weapons (even on US soil) as a hypothetically necessary option.

Pretending to oppose "exploitation", FOX has already used it as an opportunity to evoke 9/11 and display a 9/11 victim's mother.

In her WTC Task Force interview of October 11, 2001, EMT Patricia Ondrovic details her harrowing experience in lower Manhattan on 9/11. Her narrative includes on pg. 7 this curious passage:

“As I was running north in this park, and then I could start seeing again a little bit, and I just kept looking in the sky. Cause the captain was saying there's another plane heading in our direction, I was looking for another plane. I saw something in the sky, it was a plane, but it was way out. It looked like it was over Jersey or something, then it wasn't there anymore. I saw a small fireball, and it was gone. I saw two other planes. One came in one way, and the other came in the other way, and there was a plane in the middle that was way far off in the distance. Then the plane in the middle just disappeared into a little fire ball. It looked like the size of a golf ball from where I could see it. And the other two planes veered off into opposite directions. I just kept on running north. About fifteen blocks later, I had no idea that that was just the first tower that had come down.”

A common argument against demolition of the WTC towers as psychological operation is that it would have been needless overkill--that the images of impact, smoking towers and jumpers would have been sufficient conditioning for the public mind to justify all that followed.

This grossly overlooked essay by Tom Engelhardt provides an answer. Engelhardt (who quickly innoculates himself against "conspiracy theorists" in the second sentence) goes as far as his Nation Institute leash will allow, yet manages to articulate the psychological necessity for CD, while dropping other hints along the way (anthrax blackout, Hollywood "Pearl Harbor" effect).

If 9/11 was primarily an "insider" psyop, the WTC demolitions were not senseless. Given the "target audience", they were essential.

And my chief of staff, Andy Card -- actually I was in a classroom talking about a reading program that works. And I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on, and I use to fly myself, and I said, "There's one terrible pilot." And I said, "It must have been a horrible accident."

But I was whisked off there -- I didn't have much time to think about it, and I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my chief who was sitting over here walked in and said, "A second plane has hit the tower. America's under attack."

Many are aware of the surge in put options purchased on American and United Airlines as well as several major tenants of the WTC in the days preceding 9/11, purchases the 9/11 Commission Report waves away in a footnote on pg. 499 as “having no connection with 9/11", explaining that a “single U.S.-based institutional investor with no conceivable ties to al Qaeda purchased 95 percent of the UAL puts on September 6." This investor has not been identified. Nonetheless, as a National Review contributor put it on 7/26/04, “on September 10, 2001, somebody, somewhere, was very, very bearish about AMR's near-term prospects.” “And for executing options orders of the magnitude of early September, one would require the services of a major institutional broker — you try inputting "Buy 4,500 AMR October Puts" on E*Trade without getting a quizzical call from the broker. That kind of access would have been far beyond the means of anyone who could possibly have known in advance of the attacks.” (Curiously, despite the Commission’s dismissal of 9/11 insider trading, this “myth” informs the premise of the recent James Bond film Casino Royale.)
