I just called RNC in. A young man took my call, and told me he wrote everything down and will tell his supervisor about this issue.

I basically told him that banning a hopeful from a debate is against free speech, and by doing this the GOP will be hurt. He was respectful and sympathetic.

Ron Paul is not only a true Patriot IMHO... he's a smart one. Sometimes you've got to know when to play your cards close to your vest. Otherwise, they will crucify you... literally.

On the other hand, wouldn't it be wild if he did come out and say 9/11 was an inside job; and his numbers went up? And people came out to support him in large numbers? Are the numbers there yet? There are probably enough people who question the official conspiracy theory, but are there enough people who would support a Truth candidate? If he has nothing to lose anyway he should just do it. He will go down in history as a hero to a large part of the populace.

So if he truly thinks the official story (and not simply the official version of the motives of the alleged attackers) is a lie, then he should buck up and say so instead of feeding people the standard Cockburn-Chomsky-Churchill line re the 'real reasons' 'they' attacked us--which all along has done nothing but reinforce the psychology of vulnerability so desired by the administration. I'm amazed to see truthers rationalizing, in effect, that the cause of taking down the official story is somehow advanced by continuing to make unwarranted concessions to it (as if one might starve a threatening beast out of existence by continuing to feed it).

Come on, folks! Isn't it obvious in view of the latest reports that he's going to get trashed regardless?!! As Patrick Henry once remarked in a different context, 'If this be treason, make the most of it!'

Let's say he loses because of his views on 9/11, which I don't think would be the case. He might get trashed in the media, but like you said, that happens regardless.

Jeff from PUMPITOUT.com put a call into the office of Saul Anuzis, head of the Michigan Republican Party, about him wanting to kick Ron Paul from the debates and after speaking with one of his secretaries Jeff was informed that Saul has suddenly changed his mind and decided not to circulate a petition to have Ron Paul dropped from the debates.

Yeah, unfortunately, that's exactly what they're doing. Ron Paul has made it clear that he doesn't think 911 was an inside job because he knew they'd do this. He's said he didn't believe it in multiple interviews when asked directly. Still, fox news had a piece that blatantly lied and said he was a 911 truther. They did a whole tin foil hat piece on him. It's just retarded beyond comprehension. They just told a flat out lie. It's beyond belief what's happening.

We should be aware that, in attempting to associate the 9/11 Truth movement with Paul's remarks in the debate--attributing the 9/11 attacks to Muslim anger at US foreign policy--, the corporate media are not only looking to hurt his campaign, they are also looking to confuse the public's perception of our movement (and ultimately, of course, their perception of what's true and what's not re 9/11). As with the Ward Churchill controversy two years ago, the more the cause of 9/11 Truth is associated with proponents of 'blowback', the more the public will miss the major thrust of our movement, instead presuming, when they hear about '9/11 Truthers' that, 'oh yeah, those are the folks that agree with so-and-so that 9/11 should be viewed as retaliation against US policy'--when that is SO not the case when it comes to our actual message.
