New Targets For Kucinich: 9/11 And Handguns

Cleveland Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich told an interviewer during one of his recent presidential campaign jaunts that he plans to hold an inquiry sometime in September on "some specific areas" of 9/11.

"The inquiries will be limited," Kucinich told blogger Keith Farrell, who posted his interview on YouTube. "But I think that by focusing on some specific areas that to me represent the most egregious examples of distortion of truth or lack of information, by focusing in on that, I'll be able to bring forward a new dimension to the discussions. And from there, we'll move ahead."

So what are those egregious examples that he'll dig into?

Kucinich's congressional office has refused to say.

However, it issued a press release this week in the aftermath of the Virginia Tech shootings that promised Kucinich will draft legislation to ban the purchase, sale, transfer or possession of handguns by civilians.

The press release also asserted that two of Kucinich's longtime pet causes -- establishing a universal health care system and creating a cabinet-level Department of Peace and Nonviolence -- "directly relate to the events of Blacksburg."

It said the non-profit nationwide health care system he envisions would provide "full and comprehensive" mental health care to those in need. And it said his Department of Peace bill "provides hope for a transformation through education of our children in principles of nonviolence and support for existing community groups and professionals whose dedication would be empowered by a national commitment to peace and nonviolence."

"The level of violence in our society constitutes a national emergency," Kucinich declared. "I'm offering an approach to change America's direction away from death and disintegration and toward life and social cohesiveness."

He's full of it

He's milking the 9/11 Truth movement for their votes as we hold the majority. He's a piece of trash globalist bought and paid for, like the rest of them, with the exception of Ron Paul.

If he is actually sincere in 9/11 investigations you can count on one thing, it will be in nothing of substance, or you can expect another Wellstone "accident".

you had me until Ron Paul

what makes RP different from DK? Well, he sits on the other side of the aisle for one. On the other hand, neither dares speak the truth about 9/11 without some ridiculous dancing around stuff that far more people than they seem to think, already know. They can both go to hell and come back only when they've grown some balls or ovaries or whatever it takes for them to stop acting like we don't know exactly what they are failing to do. If I was going to throw away a vote on either one of those guys I would as soon write in David Ray Griffin, or Real Truther, for Prez.

As far as banning handguns, all that would do is make the next crazed killer use something legal, like a chainsaw or weed whacker. Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are, it seems, being used in an attempt to polarize truthers into the same old same old blue red coke pepsi mommy daddy crap trap that we truthers (I thought) had rejected. F em both!

Ron Paul...

...promises to do away with the Federal Reserve. Any other person in washington saying that? If you think 9/11 is the big issue and "re-investigating" it will do anything towards real change then I am sorry but you are sadly mistaken. There's a much bigger picture, with 9/11 being a small piece in the puzzle. I suggest the "9/11 truth movement" go out and actually learn whats going on in the dying republic. I applaud the first baby steps via "9/11 truth", now its time to fully wake up.

The Canadians must be shaking their heads...

They have just as many guns per capita as the States. But they also have a CLUE how these valid problems K refers to can be dealt with and PREVENTED.

Getting rid of guns is not a magic bullet--pun intended.

Impeachment. Accountability. A better world.

Kucinich is a dangerous idiot!

I can read.

The Second Amendment:

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

I know from my reading of history as an adult, not under the control of government indoctrination centers called public schools, what the framers off the Constitution and Bill of Rights meant when they used the term "well regulated militia" in this context.

Kucinich knows exactly what "shall not be infringed" means. And like the rest of CONgress, he obviously doesn't give a shit.

Ron Paul better not let this creep near his campaign.

And why else would he wait until September to hold some kind of fake inquiry other than to capitalize on the event for political gain. He cares nothing about truth or he would put it ahead of political fortune.

That weasily little shit needs to realize that we are Americans with Rights bestowed upon us by the Architect of nature, which are not, never were, never could be, and by God NEVER WILL BE priviledges granted by a treasonous CONgress. We are not a civilians. I reject that label. And Kucinich needs to be an unemployed servant.

I never trusted Kucinich...

and I still don't trust Ron Paul. I knew this VT massacre was going to be the pretext for an assault on the second amendment, a blind man could see it coming.

If Paul was serious about his stance he would drop the (R) & go Libertarian. Neither a snake in the grass (D) or (R) are getting my vote. I'll waste it on an independent or libertarian.

all of the labels are stupid

Look up Ron Paul's voting record, you wont find a more down to earth constitutionalist anywhere. His label says R, his track record says American, America, and the Constitution.

I...

Just asked a gun toting member of the NRA/Republican at work what would happen if they tried to take away the 2nd Amendment. His response, "Civil War."

"So where is the oil going to come from?... The Middle East, with two-thirds of the world's oil and the lowest cost, is still where the prize ultimately lies."

"His response, "Civil War.""

Of course, divide & conquer ya' know. 'They' trot out the (D) Shill to start the push & divide the two party sheep even further.

Why do you think I will NEVER vote (D) or (R) again. Regardless of their 'record'.

Edit: I just find it 'funny' that both the dems & repugs have their own version of a "911 truth friendly" candidate. Sorry, I was born at night but not last night.

hung for treason

Fuck him!!! I live in the safest state in the country(Vermont) and you don’t need conceal carry permit for any hand gun at all and believe me I don’t go anywhere without my 40 cal loaded not just for my family protection for yours as well. If every Professor had a handgun it would have saved lives. Dennis Kucinich should be hung for treason for going against the 2nd amendment. The is no more Statesman anymore only politicians.

Dude, no one should be hung for treason for talking

Don't you get pissed when some idiot says that about someone questioning the official 9/11 story?

We're better than that.

In armed society is a safe society

9/11 isn’t in the constitution our right to bear arms shall not be infringed is. Read the communist Manifesto pal and you will see why I am so pissed Dennis Kucinich took an oath to defend the constitution not destroy it like Bush. In armed society is a safe society

This is related to the VT shooting and globalists actions

For the second time this week VT Alumni have received emails which mention donating to the "Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund". The day after I received the first solicitation I spoke with Tammy Crossen requesting documentation describing in detail how this money would be used. I was told someone would contact me the following day. Nothing. Today came the 2nd solicitation. I just sent the following email to the donation center requesting for the 2nd time this documentation. The letter is as follows:
"I spoke with Tammy Crossen the Director of Development on the 17th. I had requested that someone send me information regarding the legal framework for how the donation money was to be used. I was told someone would contact me the following day. I still have not heard from anyone. As a Hokie Alumni I am disturbed that I have received two emails now discussing donating for this fund with out seeing the exact details of how this money is to be used. I do not
believe that the use of these funds would be abused; however, in light of the Red Cross donation scandals related to the Tsunami disaster and the 9/11 tragedy it is clear that some form of legal framework is needed to avoid these issues. I am requesting for the second time documents related to the use of this money. Let's make sure that money collected for this memorial fund is properly utilized.

Thank you,
xxxxxxxxxxxx
Class of 200x"

I cleared my name for this post. I don't know where else to discuss this issue. I see another abuse of a tragedy in the making.

This tragedy looks even more suspicious with Kucinich's recent actions drawing up legislation to ban handguns. It has been predicted that the 2nd amendment would be the next thing the globalist go for and here it is staring us in the face. First it'll be handguns, then other arms. Politicians have even attempted to take away the right of citizens to own whatever breed of dogs they choose. They are chipping away at our means of self protection and we need to STEP UP TO THE CHALLENGE!

I hate to say it but my Alma Mater is behaving absolutely atrociously! This is the 3RD solicitation from them. They have not sent me anything laying the groundrules for money expenditure. They have not set up any groundrules at the link above. This stinks to high heaven! I'm going to write the Roanoke times with my requests by tomorrow if I don't get some sort of strong legal groundwork. This is bullshit and they are TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE VICTIMS!

"April 16th Memorial Website
Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech expresses its shock and profound sorrow regarding the tragic campus shootings of April 16, 2007. To honor and remember the victims, this website has been created so those within the university community and around the world may share condolences, thoughts, and prayers.

PLEASE NOTE: As of 4 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2007, we will be closing this website to new entries. This is to allow us to stabilize our technical infrastructure and redirect our resources toward the university's recovery from this tragedy.

Virginia Tech staff will moderate this website, and ask that comments remain civil and appropriate. Racist or hateful language will not be tolerated. Please be patient, as there may be a lengthy delay between the time your comment is posted and the time it appears on the website. We are receiving literally hundreds of comments per hour. "

Hundreds of text messages should not lag ANY server. I'm going to post something relating to the fund and lack of ground rules. We'll see if it even shows up.....

In case anyone has forgotten 2004

Mr. Kucinich is a diehard partisan shill - yes, shill - for the Democratic party. He'll round up the peace vote with talk of imaginary Departments of Peace and lure in truthers with 'limited inquiries' into 9/11 'probably sometime in September' but at the end of the day he'll sell out your ass to Hillary and Co. without thinking twice.

The Eleventh Day of Every Month

I disagree... but we'll find out soon

He's trying to impeach Cheney next week. Let's see how the rest of the democrats support him or if he stands up to them.

As for the handgun thing... I really hope he doesn't. No way it'll pass though. Not sure what this supreme court would say about that at all...

People never thought habeas

People never thought habeas corpus would be overturned. People never thought torture would be legalized. People never thought police/military would confiscate their arms (Look at Katrina WTF was that? It was a precursor).

Wake up. The NWO agenda is clear and they're stepping it up.

Police State.

Kucinich's plan to ban all handguns plays right into a potential police state where no citizens are armed or can defend themselves. It is sad. I understand regulating the sale and use of firearms. That's not a problem for me, but if we don't stand up to this Bush Administration and expose the atrocity of 9/11 as an inside job, we will most likely move towards a police state where a rifle and a handgun in every responsible household would be a necessity to a fight against oppressors and for liberty. Damn Bush. and Damn Kucinich. and Damn everything else.

The government doesn't work for the people anymore

My approach: Don't trust any talking head from the establishment. This is where the Truth fails to gain that much needed boost to turn it supernova. The greedy pricks in the government know how the truth game is played. We must unite as a movement of TRUTH and bypass all this political bullshit. Those bastards don't give a f&*# about the Truth because if they did, it would have been exposed by now. The only conclusion I could come to after realizing 9/11 was an inside job was that both parties in the government stood to gain.... but they are playing chess with the wrong crew. We must stay strong. We have them in check and they are trying to get the king to safety. We must sacrifice in order to gain, so I say lets sacrifice the need for a political head speaking half truths, and take this movement to the next level. We can only count on those around us who are dedicated to TRUTH and exposing the true terrorist that reside in the government. The minute we put faith back into political leaders, the chess match starts over, and we must start a new game. Let us finish this battle of the minds and bury the king and all his protection. Stay strong, because the tides are turning and the enemy of TRUTH is starting to have nightmares worrying about their plans unraveling. Lets fold the chess boards on these political pieces.

The Truth Never Lies

Paul is our best chance...

Ron Paul is right on. I don't think we ever have to worry about him and gun control legislation. He has gone on Alex Jones show as much as anyone else. He has come forward with some questions about 9/11. Judging by Paul's willingness to confront the federal reserve. It seems silly that we would wonder about his willingness to confront 9/11. This man has a brass pair telling the Fed Chairman what is up. We all need to get behind Ron Paul to at least get the issues out there. I agree that we should question Paul and continue to keep him on his toes. So far however he is offering us a light which we would waste by ignoring or writing off.
To the post above calling for execution....9/11 truth in no way condones these kinds of comments....Let's leave those kinds of things to the celebrities who go on Hannity.

Peace

Just putting it out there...

I like guns. I think it's fun to go target shooting. I hate hunting, and could never do it, but I understand the necessity. Every citizen in this country has the right to bare arms.

"So where is the oil going to come from?... The Middle East, with two-thirds of the world's oil and the lowest cost, is still where the prize ultimately lies."

Richard Cheney - Chief Executive Of Halliburton

2d wasn't about hunting Jon

It was about defense of liberty against all enemies, foreign and domestic. And, it was especially reserved for our defense against our own government.

The last Right, the Right to petition, in the First Amendment is our last way to peacefully call our government to account. That is why the Second Amendment follows. It was to serve as a reminder to government that the People are (supposed to be) armed and willing to defend and enforce their Rights violently, if necessary.

See Chapter 61 of the magna Carta, which is the source.

Recently the government in arguing for dismissal of a suit addressing the Right to petition, it has conceeded that the Right to petiton exists and is held by the People. However, the government claims that nowhere in the Constitution is there a requrement for the government to answer such petitions. This is insufferable arrogance.

The government is pushing the People toward the ultimate confrontation. Given the firepower on both sides and their brainwashed, useful idiot, goon squads, there will be much bloodshed if this happens.

Jefferson said that the tree of liberty must periodically be fertilized with the blood of tyrants and patriots alike. It is it's natural manure.

If we were not so armed today, you and I would already be dead or in a camp somewhere.

The choice will be then the same as it always has been, to die on your feet or on your knees.

amazing...

...how the greatest mass-murder in US histiry, Lincoln, could say things like this and yet not condone the South to peacefully leave the union simply because he was concerned about lost revenue.

The war of northern aggression was, in the beginning, about revenue. Lincoln reluctantly made it also about involuntary servitude later, when it was politically expedient to do so to keep France and England from joining forces with the South.

true enough

I just think its a powerful quote, especially when having been spoken by a us president. and yes the civil war was rooted in financial issues, as was Lincoln's assassination.

minor correction...

...though we are on the same page.

The war between the States, or war of northern aggression as i prefer, was NOT a civil war.

A civil war is two or more groups/factions fighting for control of a single government. Calling it a civil war aids in covering up the absolute fact that it was a war of northern aggression without just provocation.

One thing I like about 911blogger is the chance

to hear perspectives I don't run across in real life and this certainly qualifies. How does slavery factor into your analysis? (I *know* the war was not "a war to free the slaves" as we were all taught in grade school.)

I'm not sure of what you are asking but,...

...personally, I find involuntary servitude morally reprehensible. Is that what you wanted to hear from me?

However, I am of the opinion that slavery could probably not have continued past 1900. The South was literally sitting on a powder keg that could have exploded sooner or later anyway. The desire for liberty has a way of doing that. But, compared to the unnecessary massive loss of life, black and white, and property on both sides, the 35 or so year wait would have been a much less ugly stain on our past.

I also believe that the Republic would probably have been restored as a means of defense against inevitable British aggression.

You said that you already know it was not about freeing the slaves. Do you understand how Southern independence would have probably been economically devastating to the north, probably for a significant period of time? Greed drove Lincoln and the north to war.
