Bush Justifies The Iraq War With 9/11 Yet Again

And so, on the one hand, I do fully understand the anguish people go through about this war. And it's not just Matthew (Dowd), there's a lot of our citizens who are concerned about this war. But I also hope that people will take a sober look at the consequences of failure in Iraq. My main job is to protect the people, and I firmly believe that if we were to leave before the job is done, the enemy would follow us here. And what makes Iraq different from previous struggles is that September the 11th showed that chaos in another part of the world, and/or safe haven for killers, for radicals, affects the security of the United States.

Iraq Had Nothing To Do With 9/11

C'mon already America...

Is it really that hard to see that he's using 9/11 exactly as it was designed for? To give them a reason to start a "war that won't end in our lifetimes."

"So where is the oil going to come from?... The Middle East, with two-thirds of the world's oil and the lowest cost, is still where the prize ultimately lies."

Richard Cheney - Chief Executive Of Halliburton

yep, over the next several

yep, over the next several decades, 9/11 is worth trillions of dollars, and can form the basis of imperial aspirations for a long time.

This calls for...

One of my favorite videos...

"So where is the oil going to come from?... The Middle East, with two-thirds of the world's oil and the lowest cost, is still where the prize ultimately lies."

Thanks Jon

That's one of my favorites too. All the top scum-bags bunched together. As Mike Malloy would say, "Have I told you lately how much I hate these people?"

that was great

did anyone make a tally of that fear mongering......
anyways i love how this country has changed. we went from FDR saying the only thing you have to fear is fear itself to GW saying fear everything. be scared and let us protect you. give up your republic and you will be safe. Those of us that remeber anything about hitler remeber that he convinced the people of germany to do the same thing. And what did they get? A dictatorship that killed millions of jews. What are we going to get? A dictatorship that kills millions of arabs. Oh man does history ever repeat itself

What Bush wanted to say:

"...And the best way we can beat resentment, is through hope, and as everyone in this administration knows, hope is created, through a ceaseless, non-relenting bombing campaign. We are gonna spread HOPE throughout the middle-east. God bless America."

Time to remind Cindy Sheehan...

...that 9/11 is NOT in the past.

floating balloons of balloney

he is the CONsumate actor..
working 911, Iraq and the dangers of Iran into his speech today

truly he is one of the "Masters of War "as Dylan wrote in 1962

Mr Bush wants new blood from the US and Iran

Mr Bush

Please think of the familys and all of those that lost their lives on 9/11. Give back the same line they give to us about any subject that concerns 9/11. That includes FOX News CNN MSNBC CBS and the rest of them. We ask question about 9/11 and the question we ask concern the country and the world. Because if war and murder is the answer to 9/11 then that above all is treason.

My thoughts

To me his words sound like a threat.

If you don't give me what I want - well, just maybe a nuclear bomb will go off...who knows.

Yeah, to me it sounds like a threat - a cruel joke.

He's SUCH an embarrassment

As much as I disliked Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Daddy Bush, this is the only time I've felt like I, personally, do not have a President.

That America is now a country without a President. (and has been so since he was "elected" (selected))

He's the first President (pResident) where I've actually had friends, family members and others actually apologize for having voted for him. (now, some of then TWICE -- and THAT is embarrassing)

It's pretty bad when you are a worse President than Nixon. I don't think anyone thought we would EVER have another President as bad as Nixon, much less worse. And at least Nixon did a few good things.

In twenty to fifty years from now, they will be referring to these times as the Dark Ages of American Politics.

pResident Gov. George W. Bush has officially ruined the 21st Century. (tm)

I agree doughnut but

I would also like to add that the babbling buffoon isn't only the worst so-called president this country ever had. He is the worst leader, if you want to call him that, the world has ever seen. Even Hitler has to take a back seat to this clown. He belongs in a nut house, not in the White House.
