Harvard University Allowing 9/11 Commission Adviser to Teach Absurd Conspiracy Theories

Surely Harvard should be reviewing the teaching of Professor of "History" Ernest May, who will be conducting a seminar beeginning this Wednesday where he will teach absurd conspiracy theories (syllabus), i.e. the 9/11 Commission report he served as senior adviser to, to unsuspecting and impressionable freshman. So, is Harvard aware of the menace it allows to operate unchallenged within its ivy walls? It would seem so. In fact, just hours before publishing their editorial on the terror threat, they received a copy of this letter from a member of Scholars for 9/11 Truth to Harvard's president, Derek Bok.

Dear President Bok,

I write to you as both alumnus of Harvard College ('96) and current member of Harvard's administrative staff to request a formal statement from you on the subject of the evidence that the events of September 11 have been and continue to this day to be misrepresented in a profoundly malicious and unconscionable manner. As a senior adviser to the 9/11 Commission Harvard Professor of History Ernest May has associated my alma mater with a report that is acknowledged by a growing number of people around the world to be, without exaggerating, a criminally deceptive document, as it intentionally deflects blame from the actual planners and executors of the controlled demolition of the World Trade Center complex.

A thorough summary of the relevant issues may be found in the following documentary:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6708190071483512003&sourceid=do...

and further documentation on the subject on this website: http://www.st911.org

An institution that is as highly regarded as Harvard, and whose motto is "truth", cannot be allowed to remain silent on an issue of such import. I attempted without success to bring these issues to the attention of Prof. William Kirby while he was Dean of FAS. Presumably because he knows me personally he did respond to my inquiry only to express his ignorance of the subject, but his faith in his colleague Professor May. I replied to him that the facts suggest that his colleague was at the very least negligent in his job of advising the 9/11 Commission and urged him to become familiar with the evidence. He did not reply so I cannot say with certainty if he read my message.

As shown by the recent actions of Brigham Young University against their professor of physics Steven Jones, placed on paid leave for his audacity in publishing and discussing with students his research proving beyond reasonable doubt that the WTC was demolished with explosives, the time has come for the leaders of American and world academia to weigh in on the subject of academic freedom, and beyond that to speak truth to power on the subject of the atrocities committed on September 11, 2001.

I trust that you will acknowledge your receipt of this inquiry from a concerned alumnus and reflect on its significance. The time has come to confront an ever more clearly troubling reality--this institution cannot remain silent on this issue and retain its credibility into the future. Should you wish to discuss the issues involved in more detail I would be happy to meet with you in person at your convenience.

Respectfully yours,

Gustavo Alfonso Espada

Real Truther encourages readers to contact the Crimson and President Bok to make sure they are aware of the growing awareness of the truth. We cannot allow America's top colleges to corrupt our youth with nonsensical conspiracy theories about Islamofascists, or to sanction in any way whatsoever their staff members who call attention to the problems with Harvard's curriculum. Write them today!

Apples For The Taking

Imagine a most weirdly glorious day
When Teachers throughout the land
Fail to post in front of the class
As embarrassment and shame sweep across their soul

The classes remain full by habit
Yet a teacher seems clearly missing
The truthful spirit of humanity steps in
To fulfill this precious need

Apples spill about the floor

For no cart is safe again

In a land of truth

"The truth shall make you free." Why not make the truth free? We live on a priceless blue pearl, awash in a universe of fire and ice. Cut the crap.

I'm concerned about my Illinois senators who I think are decent people. When the truth comes out, how will you explain your silence.

A: You didn't know
B: You knew or suspected but didn't speak out
C: You knew and are part of the conspiracy

I don't believe in this case C and suspect B.

My uncle Phil used to say that the most important thing in life was "timing". Now is the time to show up representatives.

Pentagon to release report on September 11 claims

Reuters / David Morgan and Kristin Roberts | September 21 2006

The Pentagon's inspector general will release a report in the coming days that is expected to refute claims that an Army intelligence unit had information that could have thwarted the September 11 attacks, officials said on Wednesday.

The report, the result of a Defense Department probe launched last October, was expected to be issued by acting Pentagon inspector general Thomas Gimble as early as Thursday, military and congressional officials said.

Former members of the data-mining unit code-named Able Danger and their Republican champion in Congress, Rep. Curt Weldon of Pennsylvania, have maintained for over a year that Able Danger uncovered intelligence on September 11 mastermind Mohamed Atta and others in 2000 that should have been a tip-off of the attacks.

Critics of 9/11 Commission Report

http://patriotsquestion911.com/

Many well known and respected senior members of the U.S. intelligence services, military, and government have expressed significant criticism of the 9/11 Commission Report. Several even allege government complicity in the terrible acts of 9/11.

Listed below are highly critical statements about the 9/11 Commission Report and/or calls for a new 9/11 investigation by 51 of these individuals. Their collective voices gives credibility to the claim that the 9/11 Commission Report is tragically flawed. These individuals cannot be simply dismissed as irresponsible believers in some 9/11 conspiracy theory. Their sincere concern, backed by their decades of service to their country, demonstrate that criticism of the Report is not irresponsible, illogical, nor disloyal, per se. In fact, it can be just the opposite.

Chavez mentions 9/11?

Chavez again alluded to U.S. government complicity in 9/11, a subject he had raised in a previous speech.

"And I would just add one thing: Those who perpetrated this crime are free. And that other event where an American citizen also died were American themselves. They were CIA killers, terrorists."

Amid the difficult translation, Chavez is clearly making reference to elements of the CIA being behind 9/11.
http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/september2006/210906planebomber.htm

I believe Chavez was actually refering to JFK

"President Michelle Bachelet reminded us just a moment ago of the horrendous assassination of the former foreign minister, Orlando Letelier.

And I would just add one thing: Those who perpetrated this crime are free. And that other event where an American citizen also died were American themselves. They were CIA killers, terrorists. "

The UN (world) stage gave Chavez the opportunity, publicity & witnesses he needed to confront the REAL enemies of democracy. His speech was a salvo… to seek out friends & place enemies on notice. His language & accusations were unambiguous. Wonderful!

That, my friends was speaking truth to power! A patriot in every sense!

Pentagon to Release Report

yes

They are going to claim that there is no evidence to support the claims of multiple pentagon employees - including Lt. Col Anthony Shaffer - that the top secret Able Danger program had tracked several of the alleged 9/11 hijackers in 2000 - and that a 2 star general ordered Shaffer to "Ignore" Atta and place yellow stickers over his face in the al qaeda chart they had prepared.

Now that's not to suspicious - is it?

so - essentially we are going to be told that a bronze star recipient and 5 additional pentagon employees all decided to commit career suicide - and make up tall tales - for no apparent reason.

That 2.5 Terabytes of data

probably would've helped in this "official probe"

"There's a shadow on the faces of the men who send the guns to the wars that are fought in places where their business interest runs."

great point John. Why would

great point John.

Why would all these whistleblowers want to destroy their careers for nothing? What did they gain by coming out? What reason do they have to lie?

We (nc911truth) had an event at duke on the anniversary, and some students were asking why we were doing this, as in, is this fun for us?

HELL NO its not fun! And I wish the mainstream news media would do their job and do the research that we are having to do in our own time and with our own resources.

Chavez nailed U.S. sponsored terrorism & 9/11 at the U.N.

http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/september2006/210906planebomber.htm

Chavez: "...the U.S. protects terrorists where they want to....double standard..."

the MSM's gates firmly closed

the Chavez comments are virtually nowhere in the MSM reports, the gatekeepers have fooled us again.

They have

Shown Chavez in several spots however in every single one was shown like he was the one that is crazy instead of King George the W.
Even Keith Olbermann denigrated him.

What they fail to show is that Chavez was speaking FOR not To most of the worlds most influential leaders/nations.

i know, i was so pissed when

i know, i was so pissed when i saw the usually level-headed Olbermann chastise Chavez for his speech. Olbermann is still a cable news head after all, but it still dissapointed me.

Did you hear what Charlie

Did you hear what Charlie freakin' Rangel said? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX1lBOxoJeU

I am shaking my head.

yes i did, also very

yes i did, also very dissapointing. where is Cynthia McKinney when you need her? oh yeah, thats right, run out of town by the media, the right, and even her own weak ass party.

I feel your pain, brother.

She did an interview with FTW a couple days ago: http://www.fromthewilderness.com/members/091906_democracy_interview.shtml

(apparently FTW has opened up their stie to non-members, for a limited time)

thanks for the interview.

thanks for the interview. i wish it was longer though, he didnt even ask her about 9/11. good to see shes still plugging away on MLK jr. though.

shame on anyone who voted against her.

CB: And you have been pushing for a deeper investigation of Dr. King’s murder, yes?

CM: Yes. We know certain things—that just about everything we’ve been told is not true. We’ve been told that the murder weapon was the rifle. I had a panel, and Judge Joe Brown told us that the murder weapon wasn’t the rifle. You know, these things happen to our country for a reason. And I think it was Malcolm X who likened politics to a boxing match and said that if one boxer delivers a blow and then no blow returns, then that boxer will deliver another blow, then another, and another and at some point the other boxer has to deliver a blow, or he’s going to get knocked out and lose. That’s what’s been happening to us. The powers that be have been delivering the blow after blow, and they remain unanswered, and through their ability to persuade people to obfuscate the truth, through their control of the media, they sap the will of people to counter, and pretty soon because of their technology, they will be able to have so much control that it will be very difficult—they’ll put everybody inside the matrix, and it will be very difficult to deliver any kind of counter-blow which really amounts to saving our country.

I see what’s happening to our country kind of like what happened to the Soviet Union after it imploded and the sharks went into Russia and stole the patrimony of the Russian people.

The letter above to Harvard

The letter above to Harvard is good and I get the point and support it.

But it is also good that they are going to have this course. I say, let 'em do it. The more discussion the better.

If the prof is fair, he will see the counter-evidence. If he is not fair, the students will see that about him.

Oh the joy! :-) According

Oh the joy! :-)

According to the syllabus, that "Harvard Professor of History" will be treating his freshmen during this seminar weekly, each Wednesday, for 13 weeks, until mid-December.

Now Harvard being a bit of an "elite" institution, chances are *still* non-zero, that a certain percentage of his freshmen will be looking for alternative sources about the course's weekly subjects.

Why not run a series on 911blogger.com, that takes up each of the subjects for the respective week (maybe on the Tuesdays?), and assembles the missing bits, or the contradictionary evidence, or simply links to all relevant 911 truth material and sources?

Would be not only enlightening to those Harvard freshmen who care to follow it, but also to anybody else. And could make great news on any of the alternative news outlets around the world.... :-)

Prof. Ernest May, are you prepared for a bit of "critical discourse"?
