'Sibel Edmonds: The Traitors Among Us' in March Issue of Hustler Magazine (Now on Newsstands)

By Brad Friedman on 2/6/2010
http://www.bradblog.com/?p=7688

The article brings the story of Edmonds, who was twice-gagged by the Bush Administration's outrageous use/abuse of the "States Secrets Privilege," fully up to date following her naming of names, finally, under oath, in remarkable testimony last summer. (Some of those names: Hastert, Burton, Blunt, Lantos, Schakowsky, Wolfowitz, Perle, Grossman, etc.)

The Hustler piece, "Sibel Edmonds: The Traitors Among Us," also explores reasons for the perhaps-even-more-remarkable complete avoidance of her 4-hour, detailed, video-taped testimony by the corporate media (Pat Buchanan's American Conservative magazine excepted, if you consider them to be "corporate media") concerning allegations of blackmail of sitting U.S. Congressmembers, the theft and sale of nuclear secrets to the foreign blackmarket, and other allegations of treasonous activities by top State and Defense Department officials over the last decade or more, as we have covered in great detail here at The BRAD BLOG over the years, as the story has unfolded.

So there's your latest excuse to go buy Hustler. While you're at the newsstand, please pick up a copy of the February issue of Maxim as well, featuring Simon Worrall's feature article on the formerly-'censored' story of the mysterous death of GOP IT guru Mike Connell, as detailed in our recent exclusive preview.

Who knew the stories reported almost exclusively by The BRAD BLOG and a handful of others in the independent progressive media were so darn sexy?!

Scans from Hustler 9/11 Coverage

Larry Flynt

I just watched a documentary on Larry Flynt called "The Right to Be Left Alone" from 2007. It was about his stance on the First Amendment issue and his political activism throughout his career. Anyway the coolest part was towards the end, when he was being interviewed at his desk, a deception dollar could be seen front and center on top of his desk. Who knows but it was inspiring to me.

I Enjoyed "The Right to Be Left Alone"

I've been a documentary film aficionado most of my life. Since swearing off broadcast and cable television four years ago I've seen most of what comes out.

Never seen it before and now made copies. Thanks

bonjour , never seen it before and pleased you put the link up. Make copies of the five pages.

Thanks

John

I remember! I raced down to the convenience store...

I had to stop at several convenience stores before I found a store which carried Hustler. Ha!...there is an uncomfortable feeling attached to scouring the adult magazine section, then leaving without buying as I hopped from store to store. I finally found a convenience store and excitedly showed the two Pakistani clerks on duty the magazine article, saying "Look! This article!...it tells how the government has been lying...." (I left them some free 9/11 DVDs. Many of our group members always carry 9/11 DVDs in the car.)
I also remember coming into the house and enthusiastically showing my wife this breakthrough in publicly distributed media... ...this exhilerated action of mine added to my understanding of "doghouse". I still have the magazine at home (hidden).

Is there a chance that you can scan the pages that interest us.

bonjour ,

Thanks

John

Go to the link that Joe posted. The pages are there.

By the way, John, I want to commend you for all your truth actions over the years. France is well represented.

I understand the need to get

I understand the need to get the story out, but going to a porn mag does seem a very bad call to me.

Hustler has more integrity then the entire MSM.

And no I am NOT joking when I say that. I will be buying my copy tomorrow.

Bad call?

I agree with the other commenter, that Hustler has more integrity than most MSM publications. They are free of the hypocrisy that permeates so much of the media, wherein we are sold lies under the guise of "fairness" and "balance'. If I have to choose between a publisher who sells pornography, and does so without shame, and a publisher who sells "objectivity" and "all the news that's fit to print", while actually providing neither, I'll take the porno mag. At least they aren't lying to me while taking my money.

BUT...AND ITS A BIG BUT

It does limit the number of people who will (pardon the expression) expose themselves to the story.

Whit,

That's a good one.

Obscenity

How odd that Hustler has become a beacon of moral decency in the sea of filth known as the mainstream media.

I seem to recall that Flynt also published an article on Steven Jones.

Yet another sign of our pre-apocalyptic, topsy-turvy world that Hustler is engaging in ground-breaking journalism while rags like the NY Times pimp blood-soaked propaganda leading to the deaths of millions.

Who are the real pornographers?

Off Topic but VERY IMPORTANT FOR ALL TO KNOW

The three-part video series by David Chandler called "NIST admits freefall" has been removed from YouTube. This is the series in which Chandler asks Shyam Sunder to justify NIST's false starting time for measuring the descent of WTC7 and Sunder (lead investigator for NIST) is forced to admit that WTC7 fell at Freefall acceleration for 2.25 seconds -- a distance of approximately eight stories.

This video series is vitally important, as it is tantamount to an admission of controlled demolition (at least to anyone who understands the concept of freefall acceleration).

Does anyone have any information explaining why and by whose authority this video series has been removed, and what it will take to get it re-posted?

"This video has been removed by the user. "

Chandler videos can still be accessed on YouTube

The primary YouTube videos are indeed listed as "removed by user," but they are fortunately posted elsewhere on YouTube. One set here:

Part II

Part III

Searching on "NIST admits freefall" also brings up other sites that have posted one or more in the series.

This may be a good time to note the virtues of FlashGot and similar programs. ;-)

Harpers Magazine - March issue - Whistleblower

In the spirit of supporting heroic whistleblowers, (plus in a g-rated magazine), i am encouraging everyone to get the March issue of Harpers Magazine, too for this article:

The Guantánamo “Suicides”: A Camp Delta sergeant blows the whistle

The murder, torture, and cover-up of three innocent Guantanamo detainees simply show the abysmal level our country has fallen since 9/11/01.

The above article-link goes to the 'full text of an exclusive advance feature by Scott Horton that will appear in the March 2010 Harper’s Magazine. The issue will be available on newsstands the week of February 15.'

Thanks for posting this Brad Friedman article on the latest of Sibel Edmonds testimony.

For a Democracy Now interview with Horton, see:

i am linking to this great resource page, too, from FN.

Sibel Edmonds has a weekly podcast now.

For anyone who doesn't already know. I've been listening and it's a great show w/ great guests. Co-hosted by Peter B. Collins of Air America and elsewhere. A totally fearless show.
