Dylan Avery speaking at the World Premiere of Loose Change 9/11: An American Coup at the Film Festival

Photo and stories by Lauren Callahan/Oakland North

The fifth annual 9/11 film festival, sponsored by the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance, began last night at Oakland’s Grand Lake Theater. Oakland North spoke with three people about why they attended the festival, as well as with filmmaker Dylan Avery, who premiered his film Loose Change: An American Coup last night.

The audio slideshows are posted at- http://oaklandnorth.net/2009/09/10/up-close-with-moviegoers-filmmaker-at...

There has to be much more on the Festival.

If Not Me? Who? If Not Now? When?

What do you want to know?

Eventually, I will catch up on everything and update my blog on the festival, but until then what do you want to know?

The 911tv.org video shoot of Dr. Griffin went very well (even though I'm in it briefly, LOL). I will let everyone here know when the DVD is ready.

We had about 320 paid attendees on Wednesday night for Loose Change 9/11: An American Coup and a little over half that for the full day on Thursday which ended with Dr. Griffin's talk on WTC 7.

A Swedish tv crew covered the two day event and interviewed several people, including Richard Gage.

Cheers!

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

More Details Coming

I'm planning on writing a more detailed report, but you must realize that we have had 5 days of events in a row. Richard Gage spoke at the Commonwealth Club on Tuesday, the Film Festival was Wednesday and Thursday, Friday we did actions in San Francisco (as it was the 11th!), Saturday was the 8th Annual 9/11 Truth Rally and March to the Power to the Peaceful Festival where we had a booth next to ae911truth.org.

On Sunday, I tried to catch up on my sleep and spend some time with my family, and unload the car with all the stuff in it. Today, I need to catch up on the banking, bookkeeping, other stuff... At the Film Festival, we did include a survey, sign up form in the programs- which 45 people filled out, giving us feedback on the films/events- and allowing people to signup to be on our discussion/events email lists. The event was a success, and also a learning experience for us with much response being generated by the process of simply organizing it and holding it. Another article about the film festival will also come out in this week's East Bay Express (who supported the event).
