WeAreChange Real Change Conference September 10-12, 2009

"This is not any ordinary listen to other people talk, take your money and go home conference. We will be educating thousands of people in the streets everyday with street actions, teaching all attendees to be effective, motivating, activating and most importantly raising money to help 9/11 1st responders. That's why on 9/11/09 we will be doing a money bomb for 9/11 1st responders in need. All the money made from the event will go directly to helping those heroes and no one else is getting paid a single penny. We all do this for free, for you, for the movement and for the cause, so please come out and show your support."

If you are in NYC for the anniversary

this is the place to be!

The Eleventh Day of Every Month

Looks good!

Yes, the combo of so many family members and first responders with great performers sounds excellent. And the vigils sound respectful. It looks well organized with the supporting actions.

Wonder if the NY Post would dare to cover this one.

Beautiful video

I've long been a fan of the song used in this video. In case anyone is wondering the track is titled "The Host of Seraphim" by Dead Can Dance. It was used to stunning effect in Ron Fricke's Baraka, the follow up to the Qatsi trilogy (Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi and Naqoyqatsi -- all vital viewing).

It's wonderful to see all these "regular" people expressing themselves so eloquently. The message of education, self-sacrifice and solidarity to build a better world is extremely touching. I can't help but think that if videos such as this were shown on television instead of the usual junk parade of advertising we could do so much better as a people.

Looking forward to

seeing friends at Ground Zero this year

Well...

Said.

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? Do we deserve to know how and why 9/11 happened?
