Media Breakthrough! 9-11 Press for Truth to Be Shown on Mainstream Television
I am very happy to announce that for the first time in our movements history, 9-11 Press for Truth will be shown on a mainstream media television station. KBDI Channel 12 in Denver Colorado has just confirmed that they will be showing this groundbreaking film during their upcoming pledge drive on June 3, 2009.
As has been the case in the recent past, Colorado 9-11 Visibility will be there manning the phone banks and expect to get some prime time during this showing to make our plea for a new investigation into the crimes of September 11th, 2001.
As many of you may know, this is not the first time that Colorado 9-11 Visibility has made an appearance on KBDI. Our most recent appearance was in March of this year during the showing of America, Freedom to Fascism. Our time at KBDI actually goes back a couple of years when one of our members, Michael Anderson approached the station about our group volunteering to man the phones during their pledge drive. As a perk for the volunteering organization, KBDI gives the opportunity to promote the group on-air during their time on the phone banks and promote we did! We do not know the whole story on what kind of effect we had, but during this initial appearance on KBDI, we handed out DVD's and other 9-11 related literature to the staff at the station. To me, they were friendly enough, but I felt their reception of us was lukewarm at best. What a nice surprise to us when we were invited back again and again for all subsequent pledge drives since and given and increasingly warmer reception. And now this! We are ecstatic over this as it is the result of years of determined work by our group of very dedicated activists here in Colorado.

Congratulations to the makers of the film, and to the members of Colorado 9-11 Visibility, and BRAVO to KBDI Channel 12 in Denver for having the guts to do what no other television station in this country has done.

"In Their Own Words" is a far better film
In my opinion:
"Press for Truth" leaves people bewildered about what the alleged hijackers were doing.
Unless someone tells you that they were being set up to take the fall you might not get that from the film.
"In Their Own Words" can convince anyone that there was a cover up instead of an investigation.
Let's hear it for the sequel.
It is still great news that "Press" is being televised.
Let us endeavor to get other films on television.

No reason to show the first film when the second is better
This smacks of a delaying tactic to me. No one who is in denial is going to be swayed by something that takes them half way there. It will just give them something to "discuss," which is the tactic of the perpertrators. Their motto is: "Let them discuss themselves to death."

I'm not sure if you're just the messenger or if you're actively behind this effort, but I would have to agree: "In Their Own Words" is indeed the superior film. If there's any chance modifying the plan to show that one instead, the better. Don't get me wrong though I'm happy enough to see PFT scheduled to go on the air. And even though it's mostly a LIHOP film, it does at least briefly mention WTC7 and it's suspicious collapse.

I will make this short and sweet.
The above terms are divisive and cause infighting amongst what should_be_a_united_front for the purpose of initiating independent investigations with power into the attacks of 9/11. Pissing contests over pet beliefs may prove helpful, but we are not here to decide exactly what happened at every instance and why. It is the hope of millions that the facts uncovered and the inconsitencies in the official record should be more than enough to initiate such investigations.

when LIHOP serves to suppress the massive evidence of explosive demolition, for no other reason than a deep desire for peer acceptance from the establishment, then I am against it. (w.r.t., for example, the recent ad hominem attacks on Niels Harrit by Orkin and Ruppert)

Indeed I am involved in this effort and the also messenger. However, we (Colorado 9-11 Visibility) had nothing to do with the decision to show a 9-11 related film, nor which film was to be shown. I am happy to see any reputable film shown on the mainstream and prefer not to make divisive categorical designations such as these out of favor acronyms.
Michael, Thanks for the insight on Channel 12 - I understand.
I suspect that Channel 12 Execs had their weekly meeting on possible films to air, that this film came up as a possibility, and was approved. I would bet money that the previous exposure and good influence by your group prompted someone to suggest this film.

Great work AGAIN Colorado group! The fact that they are showing 911 Truth related movies on a PBS station in a MAJOR TELEVISION MARKET is OUTSTANDING. The fact that they are welcoming the actual group members to work the phones during their all important pledge drive and show the movie during their pledge drive is even more OUTSTANDING. Pledge drives usually mean they bring out their best programming. This is a time when they are getting the viewers to see what is showing and react by giving them the money to continue operations. The other pledge drive using the Colorado group and showing other 911 related movies must have been successful.
Groups across the country should approach their local PBS stations, using this station as an example. It worked in Colorado. Why couldn't it work elsewhere? It is worth investigating at the very least.

Am in full agreement that suppression of evidence is bad. But between showing this film or not, I'd choose showing it. Hopefully it opens some eyes.
As embarrassing as it is now, I originally doubted that any US involvement in 9/11 was more than passive. That is, my first awarenesses that 9/11 differed from what we were told, began with a "weak," or LIHOP, version, and from there the evidence has led me to a much stronger narrative.
Am not saying everyone needs to start with LIHOP, but it can get people to transition from non-questioner to evidence-seeker.

That's a good point, you are correct, and by the way, I saw the film and I liked it. My interest in demolition evidence in no way to deters me from studying foreknowledge and malevolent incompetence/corruption theory. The body of evidence for that is awe inspiring. In a complex way, all these facts are married into a bigger, even more complex narrative. I must say, what fascinates me most is the absolutely enormous force we are up against. I think none of us truly understand this force and its scope. We are underestimating it. However, all this effort to galvanize public opinion points out the irony: the greatest awesome goddamn force is still ... public opinion.
And guess what: the rise of internet and thereby independent media has provided a window of opportunity to turn the tables. We'll see.

Press for Truth is one of the great film intros to 9/11 questions- anyone who hasn't heard about the 9/11 truth movement, or thinks it's all "conspiracy" nuts/buffs, or even if they already know something's seriously wrong with what we've been told, they're going to be blown away by this PFT; the way the official inquiries were conducted, the evidence ignored, the questions left unanswered. If they care about what's happening to this country and how 9/11 and the lives of the mass murdered were exploited, this film will get them asking questions and demanding truth and justice.

When it comes to campaigning
When it comes to campaigning I am going with publicising these two documentaries. "Insulting the victims" and "Why would the Government do such a thing?" are the two top reasons for not investigating.

No More Pleas, Please
This is absolutely fantastic news. Instead of making open ended "pleas for a new investigation, shouldn't the folks manning the phone banks be directing viewers towards our most realistic shot at actually forming an actual investigation, the NYC CAN ballot initiative at nyccan.org, where the hardworking folks in New York City are only 7,000 signatures shy of having 45,000, enough to safely overcome the 30,000 signature requirement that forces New York's City Council to vote on whether or not to put the referendum on the November 2009 ballot. And if they can get up to 60,000 or 70,000 by the end of the summer, the referendum HAS to go on the ballot regardless of what City Council does. Don't people realize how REAL this opportunity is? After all, two of the people featured in the film, William Pepper and Lorie Van Auken are on the proposed commission, and Bob McIlvaine is on NYCAN's Executive Council. What better place to funnel the energy?

for all the courage and hard work. In the past two fund raisers where we have phone banked, the packages kbdi has offered with increasing donation levels has become more supportive of the truth. Call them and ask them if they will include IN THEIR OWN WORDS in this next drive incentive pack, and if they will show it or maybe ZERO at one of their next fund raisers.
