POLITICAL LEADERS FOR 9/11 TRUTH LAUNCHED TODAY
Political Leaders for 9/11 Truth (pl911truth.com) is today being launched as the latest formal group calling for a new investigation into the events of September 11, 2001. The organization is headed by Councilor (Senator) Yukihisa Fujita of Japan and former Senator Karen Johnson of Arizona.
This initiative is formed around a petition asking President Obama "to authorize a new, truly independent, investigation to determine what happened on 9/11."
Political Leaders for 9/11 Truth thus joins other concerned citizens’ groups calling for a new investigation, including Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, Firefighters for 9/11 Truth, Lawyers for 9/11 Truth, Medical Professionals for 9/11 Truth, Pilots for 9/11 Truth, Religious Leaders for 9/11 Truth, Scholars for 9/11 Truth and Justice, and Veterans for 9/11 Truth.
Independent researchers from these professions have established beyond any reasonable doubt that the official account of 9/11 is false and that the official investigations have been cover-up operations.
Senator Yukihisa Fujita explains the new initiative: "Thus far there has been no response from political leaders in Washington or in other capitals around the world. Political Leaders for 9/11 Truth has been formed to encourage such a response."
The organization is being launched with 20 charter members, including a former US governor, a former US senator, former US representatives, and former and present members of the British, German, Japanese, Norwegian, and European parliaments.
Charter member Robert Bowman, former head of the "Star Wars" program, explains the continuing relevance of the issue: "The 9/11 Tragedy has been used as the excuse for two deadly wars of aggression, for taking away our rights, and for committing war crimes that have undermined America’s reputation. Only by exposing the truth about 9/11 can we end this madness."
Political Leaders for 9/11 Truth invites other people who hold, or have held, a political office---whether elected or appointed, whether municipal, state, provincial, national, or international--- to sign the petition at pl911truth.com.
Senator Johnson sums it up: "The organization believes that the truth about 9/11 needs to be exposed now---not in 50 years as a footnote in the history books---so the policies that have been based on the Bush-Cheney administration’s interpretation of the 9/11 attacks can be changed."

Hirschhorn was an important force behind a bill trying to get Congress to investigate the destruction of the twin towers by DEW and other discredited claims.

I was forwarded several emails by Hirschhorn in which he tried to convince STJ911 to support a bill calling for the investigation of claims like DEW. Here is just some of what he wrote:
"You continue to argue the wrong issue and also to denigrate most of the scientific world that does not accept your views. Over my long career I have routinely observed how arrogance breeds self-delusion. I used to conduct studies at the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment. In that capacity I routinely interviewed very credentialed scientists and engineers who wanted to work for OTA or serve on advisory panels. Based on all your views you would never have been selected. It takes a special kind of mature, sophisticated scientist or engineer or architect to be able to critically and objectively examine all data and theories, and perform vigorous comparative analysis that supports what often are unpopular conclusions."
The Journal of 9/11 Studies has several articles debunking some of these claims (DEW, mini-nukes), but defenders of these theories typically ignore them and refuse to respond to them, instead preferring to have Congress investigate what has already been debunked.
Typically, Fetzer will use similar talking points like "these theories haven't been examined". Which is completely false. In fact, they have been examined very thourougly. Jim Fetzer, Judy Wood, and Joel Hirschhorn, and others refuse to answer, acknowledge, or respond to these critiques.
Hirschhorn was a member of STJ911, but after this incident he was removed from the group. Currently, he is co-chair of Scholars for 9/11 Truth--Jim Fetzer's group.

This political group is most welcome - and such an impressive list. It's good to remember that when Obama was campaigning he said when questioned that he didn't think the US government had anything to do with 9/11. So, if that's his belief, the past administration in his eyes has nothing to hide, and Obama should have no objections to a new inquiry which will not in his view cast a bad light on Bush and Cheney. Such sunny optimism.
Perhaps it is time to UNITE all the groups and open auxillary

I have been a truther for years and it seems 9/11 is going the way of 11/22/63. I am really discouraged. I figured we would have broken this thing wide open by now but when the NWO boys control the MSM, etc it is a tough nut to crack. By the way I have no faith in Obama. In my mind he is just a slicker version of Bush. Just another tool of the big money boys.

I have really, really, really been feeling your frustration. With as many people who don't buy the official story who are clearly not kooks, it's infuriating to watch Katie Couric casually dismiss 9/11 truth in the same sentence as Bishop Williamson's holocaust denial. And I know exactly what you mean about it going the way of 11/22/63.
HOWEVER...
Don't forget that there was no internet in the immediate decade following the JFK assassination. (Indeed, it would not come until FOUR decades later.) People could not unite anywhere nearly as quickly. As such, today's news gives me the best glimmer of hope I've had for awhile.

It is so frustrating it makes me want to scream. Thank God for the internet. Without it we would have no chance at all. It does give me some hope but 9/11 is just the tip of the ice burg. That is why it is so hard to crack. There is more at stake here than just putting the neocons behind bars. It would expose the whole New World Order and what they have planned for all of us. It's not a pretty picture and they will fight us tooth and nail and they control the MSM, the banking system, most Governments etc. I think you get my drift.

This is the greatest news in a long time, but, where are the South Asians, the Arabs? Why can only Westerners and Japanese start putting an international group together? Where is Mahathir Mahamed of Malaysia? And no Israelis? When the Truth comes out, Israel as a nation will suffer most, Mossad has tried hard but lies can't stop the 'exposure' of Truth. Isn't it time for some Israeli to come forward, if not just to save his own butt?
Does anyone else think of the possibility that non-Jewish neocons such as Cheney, (Rockefeller,Buffet?) allowed the demolitions of the Trade Center buildings to be subcontracted out to Israel, the connection of companies involved to Israelis and American Jews (ICTS,Silverstein,Odigo Systems...) knowing that someday the truth would come out and all Jews could be used as the convenient scapegoats instead of a corrupt select few?
I hope the few non-corrupted political leaders of the world can jump on this bandwagon at a moment's notice, if not for the reason that it is the right thing to do for those that still have a conscience, but because the Truth will come out and they can forward their own political viability.
I'll look over the list again, but I don't believe I've seen one name that isn't of Western European or Japanese ancestry. Just a question to everyone out there: anybody from Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, Lebanon, India, Chile, Brazil etc. etc. visiting 911 Blogger? If not, does it say something about the their 'priorities' ? I've been to many of these countries, known many of these nationalities-where are you?

I have a new 'symbolic image' of the destruction of the Twin Towers: Not the beginning of the War on Terror but the beginning of the suicidal implosion of Anglo/American Capitalism due to pathological corruption at the top. Any cinematographers out there, please take this idea and run with it! I see close ups of Silverstein, then Bernie Madoff...pan to soup lines, demonstrations in Greece and Dublin... you get the picture!

I think the motive for including an Israeli connection was quite different, actually: Involve an Israel lobby or Mossad angle, and you have one of the most surefire ways of guaranteeing that a topic will be undiscussable in the U.S. news media. Of course there's always the option of trying to scapegoat Jews if need be; but presently, it's the ability to paint critics of the official story as anti-semites that is most valuable to U.S. elites (and the media can be relied upon to thoroughly blur distinctions between criticism of Israel and anti-semitism).
