Greens Nominate McKinney for President

The Green Party of the United States today nominated truth activist and seasoned politician Cynthia McKinney for U.S. President. In her 12 years in Congress, McKinney distinguished herself for questioning Donald Rumsfeld under oath about missing trillions at the Pentagon. She introduced articles of impeachment and asked questions about the 9/11 attacks, in 2002, when such skepticism was not tolerated from public figures.
McKinney's story includes many accomplishments as a legislator. She has been the conscience for a misguided nation. But the other half of her story is not what she has done, but what has been done to her. She took the blows of fierce reaction when the political establishment and corporate centrist media attacked her for violating the taboo that demanded silence about 9/11. In 2002, GOP strategists used a special "crossover" strategy to get their voters to vote in the Democratic primary for a fake Democrat substitute for McKinney. She came back in 2004. After introducing articles of impeachment and holding congressional hearings into 9/11, Capitol Police pretended not to recognize her, which sparked a confrontation with a frustrated McKinney. The media claimed she punched a cop. McKinney lost re-election in 2006.
So it was a comeback of another kind today. Greens all over the convention today were fond of quoting Jesse Jackson who said "the Democratic Party is where progressive politics go to die." In her speech today, McKinney spoke of annually swearing to herself that all the maiming, and bombing of children, and killing of peoples that our government does, is not done in her name. Recently, she decided to make that statement more real.
350 Green delegates from as far away as Hawaii, Montana, and Rhode Island voted today for a choice of four candidates plus a few stray votes for Nader, the ghost in the machine. McKinney was the clear winner. It was a landslide. It was politics at a whole new level. After seven years of struggling to dig up the truth on 9/11, how refreshing is it to hear the biggest third party have a champion asking "what did they know and when did they know it?" in her acceptance speech. This is not a cottage industry of idle speculation. 9/11 is now a national political issue. So is Katrina. So is Pentagon accountability. So is impeachment.
But really the issue for me is McKinney herself. We are lucky in the Green Party that she has come to us. Our first star. Our first media-rich, well-known, well-loved and much-hated, loaded, messianic, prophetic, truth-telling figure. Obama seems wispy when you imagine them side by side for any reason. McKinney has a gravitas. A serious mass to her passion for TRUTH. Truth is in some ways her strongest campaign slogan. It was one of the signs hoisted aloft today as she won. Black background, big white letters, with the campaign logo below. Truth. A people living in darkness have seen a great light. Truth. The movement for truth has been given a candidate. This is the moment I came for.

Give credit where it's due
........ It takes a huge set of balls to stand up to this corrupt system, and tell it like it is. Her grilling Rummy on
the missing 2.3 trillion dollars made me want to shake her hand.
Yes it's a shame their are very few honest politicians. Standing up in the face of adversity defines ones character. What has been done to her by the press, and our corrupt government doesn't change the fact.
Cynthia is one of a kind, unfortunately
Cynthia is that rare beast: a politician of integrity. Compared to her, most of the rest of politicians in the US and abroad come across as psychopathic schemers. Will she ever be president? Unlikely. But supporting her is a matter of conscience.

Cynthia has an appeal which stands above most.
Joe sponsored the Dallas Theatre showing of LOOSE CHANGE FINAL CUT last month where more than 250 people turned out.
Following the movie, I spoke to several middle-aged women who had never before seen the film. Get this: These women, who I was informally surveying, were most impacted and impressed by "the lady in the film who...." I went on to explain that the lady was Cynthia McKinney, etc. and that there was even more dramatic film footage of her in action.
My point: By survey, Cynthia has an appeal to women voters if they can only see her in action. She gives an impressive, lasting impact.

This makes me so happy, Cynthia has BALLS, has integrity, has passion, and is very intelligent, with people, and with words. Can't wait to hear her in presidential debates!
I wonder how they will try to push her down, we should push her candiancy STRONGLY right now, spread her videos and information BEFORE they start hammering her down in the media please!

Many on the "left" or in the anti-war movement usually get behind the green candidate. If Cynthia is the green candidate, we've made a huge bridge to these groups. I still can't quite believe it and looking forward to seeing how this progresses. Obviously I doubt she has a chance to win but this could be a great campaign to educate the masses where the result could be just as big.

People don't vote their conscience.
If everyone who doubts the official conspiracy theory voted for Cynthia, she should win by a landslide.
But most people will vote for most accomplished liar with the most empty promises and vague threats.
That is the state of "Democracy" today.
We can all hope and pray and support her in every possible way.

The enemy is probably not going to allow her to raise sensitive questions in important debates. They must know she is not easily ridiculed. I fear her life is now very much in danger.

Cynthia McKinney for President: ON. When I started my 9/11 research in 2004, I still bought in to the left / right dog and pony show, believing that John Kerry would straighten things out. I know better now and will let my conscious be my guide. May Truth prevail!

Let's start talking her up right now! The election isn't until November, Call our Newpapers, Get her some press. Sometime ago a McSane supporter asked me if I was going to support a women (hillary) or a black man (Obama). I said Mckinney, she's both a woman and a black and she's the real deal! Of course he had no idea what I was talking about he usually doesn't. He's too afraid to Goggle WTC 7. There is hope for him though he does like Jesse Ventura. I told him it's only a matter of time before they come to take his gun away from him, then he'll wake up.

Her acceptance speech was moving and powerful. Cynthia did throw a mention in about re-looking at the 911 issue.She kept saying Greens needed 5% of the vote to qualify as a national party with rights as the other two.
Let's give that to the Greens.
