David Ray Griffin continues to put forth a misleading line of argument regarding the "cell phone" calls. David discusses the difficulty of cell phone calls at higher altitudes. This is completely irrelevant because most of the calls were made on airphones. Despite Griffin's claims to the contrary in Chapter 17 of 9/11 Contradictions, neither the FBI nor the 9/11 ever claimed that all, or even most, of the calls were made on cell phones. That was done strictly by our controlled media-- perhaps as part of a disinformation campaign to persuade 9/11 skeptics to reject all the phone calls. That is unfortunate because the phone calls as a whole do NOT affirm the official story, and in fact contain bits of information quite damning to that official story, like the reports from Betty Ong and Tom Burnett of guns in the possession of the hijackers.

Griffin is being misleading when he says the FBI say "it didn't happen" regarding the phone calls. On June 1, a letter was posted on the Blogger, written by Griffin, which included this:

"Moreover, some central pillars of the official account have been demolished by the FBI. It has said it has no hard evidence that Osama bin Laden was responsible for the attacks, that there were no cell phone calls from passengers to relatives from any of the planes, and that Barbara Olson's famous phone call from Flight 77 to her husband, Solicitor General Ted Olson, never happened." (emphasis added)

This statement, though perhaps technically true, is misleading. The FBI exhibit does not label the cell phone calls from CeeCee Lyles (UAL93) and Renee May (AAL77) as cell phone calls; but neither are they labeled airphone calls. Griffin seems to be suggesting none of the calls took place whatsoever, a position which the FBI does not hold, and which does not follow from the known facts.

Despite Ted Olson's lies, the phone calls as a whole are credible evidence pointing to real hijackings performed by real people-- some of whom were portraying themselves as Arabs for the purpose of framing Arabs, and inciting America into wars against Muslim countries in the Middle East.

I have written a detailed critique of Chpt. 17 of Griffin's book, and of what I call the Cell Phone Myth, and submitted it to the Blogger. To me the Myth is the idea, advocated by Griffin, that the majority of calls were made on cell phones, and therefore must have been somehow faked. This is a myth because, as I said above, the idea that most of the calls were cell phone calls was disseminated solely by our controlled media, and by Hollywood films.

I have great respect for David Ray Griffin. I am in no way questioning his character or integrity. He is the undisputed leader of this movement, and for good reason. However, internal dissent and responsible criticism are necessary within any truthseeking movement. I sincerely hope the managers of the Blogger choose to publish the essay I have submitted, entitled:

"David Ray Griffin and Cell Phone Calls: Serious Logical Errors in 9/11 Contradictions".
