This week our campaign will focus on the current Attorney General of New York Andrew Cuomo. We ask that you take two minutes to fax the Attorney General’s NYC office asking him to please push for a new investigation into 9/11. You can use the sample letter provided below or write your own. As always a polite, respectful tone is preferable.

Dear Attorney General Cuomo,

I wish to call your attention to a matter of grave importance which has been insufficiently investigated and explained nearly seven years after its occurrence. This matter took place in New York City on the day of September 11th, 2001.

As you know, the Twin Towers were attacked that day in lower Manhattan by hijacked jumbo jets. The towers subsequently collapsed, allegedly the result of the jets crashing into the towers. What you might not be aware of is the fact that there was a third tower that collapsed that day. I am referring to World Trade Center Building 7, which collapsed completely into its own footprint in around 7 seconds at approximately 5 :20 in the evening of September 11th. The collapse itself was highly suspicious and reminiscent of those controlled demolitions we have all seen of the hotels in Las Vegas on TV. The collapse of Building 7 is made even more suspicious due to the fact that it has not yet been explained nearly seven years after the fact. NIST, the federal agency charged with investigating the collapse, refuses to investigate the possibility of a controlled demolition of the building. This despite the fact that it has several characteristics in common with a controlled demolition such as a central column which fails a second before the exterior columns in order to have the building fall neatly into its own footprint and the rapid speed of its collapse.

The long list of anomalies on that day is best referenced in the book “9/11 Contadictions : An Open Letter to Congress and the Press” by author David Ray Griffin, and I encourage you to read that book in order to get an idea of how inadequately 9/11 has been investigated. Regardless, it is not necessary to point out the importance in a free society of open, scientific, independent and speedy investigation into any disaster that takes place. The Bush administration sought to delay the 9/11 investigation for over a year and then underfinanced it once they begrudgingly approved it at the behest of outraged victims’ family members. The co-chairman of the 9/11 Commission, Lee Hamilton, has stated publicly that the commission was “setup to fail” and “stonewalled by the CIA.” This fact underscores the urgent need for a new, independent investigation into the events of September 11th, 2001.

Hundreds of family members insist the 9/11 commission ignored most of their questions and is engaged in a cover-up. Their demands for a new, independent investigation into 9/11 that will answer all their questions is being joined by a growing chorus of ex-military, intelligence, architects, engineers, physicists, pilots, and other experts in their field, all of whom are demanding a new investigation into 9/11. Mr. Attorney General, I hereby call upon you to use all the resources available to your office and the State of New York to open up a new, independent investigation into the events of September 11th, 2001, with subpoena power, and with heavy participation from the victims’ family members. It is of the utmost importance that we address every question regarding the events of September 11th. The family members deserve nothing less.
