Republican attacked for expressing opinion on September 11th cover-up

State Sen. Karen Johnson, R-Mesa, has come under fierce criticism for going on record with her doubts over the government's version of events surrounding the 9/11 attacks.

Following a vote in the Senate Appropriations Committee on Arizona's 9/11 Memorial, Johnson told Capitol reporters "There are many of us that believe there's been a cover-up."

Details of Johnson's comments come in an vicious hit piece article in the Arizona Republic entitled Drinking the 9/11 Kool-Aid:

The senator gave details about her theories. The World Trade Center buildings could have been rigged with thermite to melt girders. The aircraft could have been drones rather than the commercial airliners most of us thought we saw crashing into the Twin Towers. As to what became of the missing passengers in the aircraft that (theoretically) did not explode against the towers: "That's what I would like to know," she said.

This makes her opinions even more powerful.

And this:

Who is the "us" to which she refers? Other Lawmakers?

I'm a left wing liberal, and

I'm a left wing liberal, and other than toting guns to school, I think this Senator is on the right track.

I am involved in a cause to ban the use of mercury in dental fillings (indeed, there IS mercury in dental fillings - 50% of "silver fillings" is elemental mercury - they are about 30% silver, consumer fraud if I've ever seen it) and Sen. Johnson was our champion in the AZ legislature.

I wonder if she got her real first exposure to 9/11 truth from last year's conference in Arizona.

What a great lady!

I just finished calling Senator Johnson's office to lend my support and I had the most wonderful conversation with one of her assisstants (alson named Karen).

I gave her the low-down on a bunch of stuff (unrelated, yet related to 911) that she had never heard before, namely: the bohemian grove, the cremation of care, Dr. William Pepper's 1999 MLK verdict, the London bombings, the OKC bombing and the original news footage showing 4 bombs in the building, Sgt. Terrance Yeakey, mccain's name in Hanoi - "songbird", drug dealing in Mena, child pedophiles in Conspiracy of Silence....and I'm sure other things.

She was MOST receptive to all the information, took notes, gave me at least 30 minutes (if not more) on the phones, heck, she even fired up the cremation of care pt. 2 while we were still on the phone, in a word the conversation was - Awesome.

Not to forget - she's completely aware of NAU and the SPP and what it means to all of us.

I encourage everyone to call Senator Johnson's office and express support - we need more people like this!!!!!.

Clarification

Just want to make sure what her position is--these articles are referring to her as a State Senator, meaning she is an Arizona state legislator rather than a member of the U.S. Senate in Washington--correct? Can any Arizonans on this blog confirm or correct this for me please?

The Arizona Republic's hit piece proves the prohibition is on! They do not want anyone questioning the OCT! The message is implicit, you will be harshly dealt with!
