Why Don't the Democrats ask Mukasey Some REAL Questions?

Its headline news that top Democrats are asking Attorney General Mukasey to explain his comments about a pre-9/11 phone call from a terrorist to the United States.

Why doesn't Congress ask Mukasey some real questions. For example:

Because the answer is :
Somebody DID try to stop them but got ordered to stop investigating and nobody in the system
wants that to be on the official record . People might get the idea that Government can't be trusted .

To Mr. Mukasey - Why didn't the government tell everyone to evacuate the buildings after they were hit, since they knew of the threat to target the buildings it now appears? Then, Mr. Mukasey wouldn't have had to shed a crocodile tear.

Good point. Why were the people in the South Tower told to

stay in their offices (many who came down were even told to go back up), after an airliner, out of a clear blue sky, had slammed into the North Tower??? Furthermore, the Towers had already been targeted by "terrorists" 1993!!!
