Protester arrested at Bill Clinton campaign stop

Our Hidalgo County Ron Paul Meetup Group essentially did the same thing today at the Bill Clinton rally at University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg, TX on 03/03/2008, and we didn't get arrested. However, during the Obama rally that occurred about roughly two weeks before at the same general location, our signs had been taken away. Since that was an obvious violation of our First Amendment rights that the university is almost certainly aware of, I suppose they weren't up to giving us an another excuse to justifiably sue them.

Protester arrested at Bill Clinton campaign stop

March 3, 2008

CORPUS CHRISTI — A protester was arrested Monday during a campaign stop by former President Bill Clinton.

The man, who was not identified, held a sign during Clinton's speech that said the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks were an inside job. As Clinton was shaking hands with the crowd after his speech, the man yelled at Clinton.

As police approached the man, a person in the crowd grabbed the sign and tore it in half. The man then screamed at officers, asking them to protect his First Amendment rights. He was taken away by four officers, placed in handcuffs and taken to a patrol car, according to a story posted on the Corpus Christi Caller-Times Web site. Police said the man would be charged with disorderly conduct.

Clinton was in town campaigning for his wife, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, who faces Barack Obama in Tuesday's Texas primary election.

Disorderly Conduct?

Man oh man, does the bullshit ever stop. I hope this 9/11 Patriot has the video evidence from this event. If so, he should press this with a lawyer, sue for wrongful arrest. The camera is our greatest tool as we confront the establishment.

I'm Just Glad I Didn't Get...
