Remembering Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. - Jan 21, 2008

Today we celebrate the life of one of the greatest activists in American History. People often ask us, "If elements within our own govt had a hand in 9/11, why do they let you live?". The simple answer is, It is true one can become more powerful in death, than life. The legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his work, those he effected in his time and for generations to come, will live on forever.

Today is a great day to take some time and learn about a man who saw something very wrong with the world and stood up to say, Enough is Enough!, and literally changed the world....

"He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it. "

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. "

Dr Martin Luther King Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968)

GOV. CONSPIRACY PROVEN IN COURT DEC 1999

johndoeX, Thanks for bringing MLK to the forefront today. The courage and dynamics of MLK and his movement are of the same ilk as our own.

IT WAS PROVEN IN COURT, PROVEN IN COURT, PROVEN IN COURT...that the GOVERNMENT CONSPIRED TO ASSASSINATE MARTIN LUTHER KING.

Yet, this FACT has been CENSORED by our media, our government, our schools, and our churches.

What a blatant betrayal to the soul of America.

If one does not thoroughly LOOK, the TRUTH is not visible.

9/11 Truth Needs a Martin Luther King

Wouldn't it be great to have this kind of crowd turnout in Washington, D.C. for 9/11 Truth??

We need a champion. A public figure who can command media attention and rally the masses. Yes, we have our marquee researchers--- but we need a celebrity or politician who is already well-known to champion our cause.

Why is this so difficult? I don't understand why people like Jimmy Carter and Jesse Jackson aren't calling for a new investigation in light of the fact that the one we had was obviously obstructed. The "pivotal event" in US history should be the most scrutized-- not the least.

Where is Sean Pean or Martin Sheen publically speaking out? Where is Bruce Springsteen or Neil Young? Where is Keith Olbermann? Where is Barbara Boxer?

We need to exhume Martin Luther King Jr.

Cool... ...Implementing the plan....

McGee, I really understand your point...a leader to bring forth the masses.

William Pepper addresses your point in the videos
See http://www.911blogger.com/node/13460

Also, he talks about Jesse Jackson and reveals some things most people are not aware of.

Pepper has some great proposals.
I like the ideas.

Personally, I look at the movement much like a business plan for success.
If the plan (steps building upon each other) is not implemented correctly, then the business may fail.

[An example would be opening a retail store without enough inventory and the right kind of inventory to attract enough shoppers to make the business viable. People would come in, but would not provide enough long term sales for the store to build its inventory. Eventually the store would fail.]

So, I think implementing and fully carrying out complete steps and programs towards our long range plans will lead to our ultimate success.

One of the steps is to increase our numbers.
I personally focus on this. It is something that any individual can do alone or with a group. The more we disseminate 911 TRUTH, the larger our field.

This action will help to build bridges towards the action that you suggest. And I like your suggestion.

Thanks for being part of the movement. Thanks for putting the word out to people.

If one does not thoroughly LOOK, the TRUTH is not visible.

Particularly Barbara Boxer

Senator Barbara Boxer is one whose oath of office includes, "...support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic"

With all due respect, I disagree

Spokespersons are very helpful, but we should NOT rely on any one person to get 911Truth visibility. Not Ron Paul, not Cindy Sheehan, not even the wonderful Cynthia McKinney.

Why? Because that just makes the champion a target--and, as we see with MLK, very traumatizing to supporters if they've over invested there emotional energy in one person.

"We don't need another hero".

We need to build our base and strengthen our alliances. Build the base and the "champions"--twill grow out of that base organically--and there'll be hell of a lot more than one. And really, I think the Jersey Girls more than qualify for champions on that point.

Martin Luther King Jr. & Gandhi

I think in 2008 our movement needs to research and implement the tactics used by Martin Luther King and Gandhi more effectively to further our cause. Both of these men found ways to get the job done. Maybe our movement can do without the charismatic leadership of a Martin or Gandhi, although we sure could use as many as we can, but rather .. I'm losing faith. I hope we succeed you know that.

Don't Lose Faith..

We are actually in a very good position, despite not having a charismatic public leader. We are making steady grassroots gains all the time that we aren't always aware of. We are lacking in publicity, which affects our psychology. Most of us are impatient-- myself included. Let's not panic or lose faith, however. This is urgent, but don't panic. Keep moving the ball.

This NYC Ballot Initiative could be the straw that breaks the camel's back. It necessarily forces the issue. Furthermore, Kucinich has promised an inquiry.

Also, it can only help that people like Richard Gage and Willie Rodriguez are touring the country, along with Bob Bowman again in 2008. Persistent screenings of films and street actions are helping as well. So there is plenty of hope!

I would like to see more street signs put out. Some cities are more active than others in the monthly 11th actions. (ie, San Diego). It is obviously tricky to get weekday turnouts of people with signs----- but there should be no reason why we can't plaster: "Google.... World Trade Center 7" signs and posters all over our cities in high traffic locations! Two or three people should be able to stick street signs out in dozens of locations. In this way, we accomplish our objective of connecting people to not only a message, but to information. It is a media bypass strategy to connect millions nationwide to our best truth sites. (Google... 9/11 Truth) is another example.

What if 50 such street signs appeared in every major U.S. city in high-traffic locations one morning? And stuck to utility poles at stop lights? Again, it would be anonymous and effective and could be carried out by just a few people in each city......

McGee you said well: STREET SIGNS !!! SIGNS !!!!!

McGee, I am glad that you are pushing the street signs! Absolutely!! They are an excellent form of promotion!

They are one of the cheapest and most effective way to broaden the scope, and to create an image of "911 TRUTH all over the place."

In Plano over the Thanksgiving Holidays, I put out over a 100 street signs. I just get up early in the morning with my tape gun and signs, and start my way across the city hitting major intersections.

An inexpensive way to make signs is to use a WORD document or Microsoft Works HOME PUBLISHING to print signs like you suggested. Sometimes I use two sheets of paper to make "Google 911 TRUTH" or "Explosives used on 9/11" or "Expose the 9/11 Coverup". Sometimes one sheet for the phrase.

Then I go to the copy store like Kinkos and make a bunch of copies. Sometimes for the two sheet / one phrase signs, I use a bright pink or bright yellow paper.

With some signs, I tape to cardboard and then nail the sign to stakes.

On sheets that cost about $2.50, I paint with a foam brush large 2' X 3' banners. These I duct tape to places that are large enough.

The paper signs are quick for pulling into a corner gas station, then heading for the street light pole or telephone poles near the intersection. Sometimes there is a utility box. Even the side of exposed dumpsters are sometimes good.

I use a tape gun to attach these paper signs to the poles. It is important to run the tape all the way around the pole, catching the tape again. Morning dew will 'wilt' the tape's sticky, so the full wrap around will keep the sign in place.

City or transportation officials will take down the signs during the weekdays, (and sometimes on a Saturday, depending upon which city one is in). I usually try to post these signs on a Saturday morning or late afternoon, or on a Sunday morning. If a long holiday weekend is coming up, all the better to get a jump on things.

McGee, keep pushing this point.

It is a very valid and effective form of promotion. [When I had my retail stores, I used the sign thing a lot. It is very cost effective and does create impact.]

McGee SIGNS You can see my "kinkos signs" on truthaction

McGee,
You can see some of my 5 cent signs on the January 11th Truthaction slide show.

When you see the three fufu dogs, then you will see some kinko signs. (orange and pink showing) I just used a tape gun to attach them to cardboard.

Ghandi launched his movement

Ghandi launched his movement on 9/11 1906, I've brought up the fact that the 9/11 Truth Movement can identify itself with Ghandi’s "Satyagraha" which translates pretty much into "a movement for peace and truth" a million times already but no one’s really listening to this AMAZING FACT AND OPPORTUNITY! I'm sick of repeating this for well OVER A YEAR NOW and it falling on deaf ears, come on people this is something quite incredible that we can run with here!

Styles !! That is a fabulous INSPIRATIONAL YouTube Video!

Dem Bruce Lee Styles,

Say, that is a great video. Inspirational. It really shows masses of 911 PEOPLE marching for truth.

I am so glad that you mentioned it.

You may want to send it to truthaction.org

I love watching others promote 911 TRUTH.

Nice analogy to Ghandi.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If one does not thoroughly LOOK, the TRUTH is not visible.
Got a friend of mine who thinks what they were really afraid of
..was King bringing the poor together--regardless of "race". That is, reawakening the American working class to the reality that they share the same economic fate, black, white, pink or plaid.
If true, I could see how that would have scared the piss out of the owning class.
"Color" has always been distracting "divide and conquer" bollox. "White" was originally code for "aristocrat", not European descent. Need anymore proof of that, just look at how the Irish immigrants were treated--it's all about keeping the status quo of haves and have nots, not "race".
Slaughters and Lies of Capitalist Imperialism
MLK at 79 Would Still be Debating the Slaughters and Lies of Capitalist Imperialism
http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_jay_jans_080121_mlk_at_79_would_...
Since his assassination, corporate owned media has made sure that the public does not see, hear or read of the world political figure that Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had become during his last year on earth, for the vehemence and humanity of his outcry against U.S. wars of occupation.
Corporate media blocks public knowledge of the fury of King’s outcry over U.S. wars of occupation and the powerful indictment of his government in his Beyond Vietnam speech, that made bold print headlines in newspapers around the world....
