Asbestos Dangers

Mesothelioma is a dreaded cancer that is nearly always caused by just one factor: asbestos exposure.
FACT: Family members of those who are regularly exposed to high levels of asbestos also have a high risk of developing malignant mesothelioma.

No, HE Couldn't Fly Either
http://georgewashington.blogspot.com/2007/11/no-he-couldnt-fly-either.ht...
The fact that Hani Hanjour -- the alleged pilot of the Boeing airplane which crashed into the Pentagon -- could not fly at all is now being challenged by apparent CIA informant Louai al-Sakka, who says that it was actually Nawaf al-Hazmi who piloted the plane. Al-Sakka explains that al-Hamzi was a "a veteran operative".
However, al-Hamzi was also a terrible pilot.
According to the New York Times, al-Hamzi's flight instructor, Rick Garza, said:
''They had zero training before they got here, so I told them they had to learn a lot of other things first,'' Mr. Garza said.
* * *
Mr. Garza said that their aptitude for flying was poor from the start, and that it never improved.
''It was like Dumb and Dumber,'' Mr. Garza said. ''I mean, they were clueless. It was clear to me they weren't going to make it as pilots.''
Similarly, according to the CBC:
The two men [Khalid al Mihdhar and Nawaf al Hazmi] signed up for lessons at a local flight school, but they were completely lacking in natural abilities. After a few sessions their instructor, Rick Garza, told them there was just no point in continuing, "They seemed to have a very strong interest in flying larger aircraft and that's when they brought up the subject of flying Boeings. 'Where can we learn to fly Boeings?' I just kind of chuckled a little bit and said -'It's a long road before you get to Boeings. Several years from now, but you have to start out in a smaller aircraft. If you can't fly the little four-seat aircraft, there is no way you are going to be able to fly a Boeing.'"
The two men reported back to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed that learning to fly was a lot more difficult than expected. He was surprised, "Bin Laden and I never considered whether any special skills or talents were needed to pilot an aircraft. We thought that learning to fly an airplane was much like learning to drive a car; it was easily accomplished with the correct instruction. It was a mistake in judgment."
So the official story cannot be rescued by this "new" information from a CIA operative.

Arabesque: 911 Truth
This is interesting...
But in the Times story it says, "Hazmi, on the other hand, had mixed reviews from his instructors but they did remark on how “adept” he was on his first flight."
Where did the word "adept" come from? The dictionary says that word means, "very skilled; proficient; expert." That's a ways off from what you posted.
Are there any Boeing 757 pilots that have said they could fly the maneuvers of that day? I understand if a pilot didn't fly those planes, it would have had to have been "remote control." My question is, if a pilot couldn't fly those maneuvers from within the plane, then how could a "remote control" person do it from the ground? Believe me, I am of the mindset that those planes must have been aided in some way, but of course, I can't prove it one way or the other, so I don't focus on it much. However, I do think we put too much emphasis on how impossible the maneuvers may have been without actually talking to Boeing 757 pilots. There must be a plethora of them out there. That would make for an interesting day trip. Going to your local airport, and talking to any of the pilots.

"Adept" is from the Cell
It's on page 272 of my copy (or look up Alhazmi flight training in the index).
The word is not actually in a quote from the flight instructor, but is used by the authors (Miller et al.) to paraphrase him. The flight instructor, Arnaud Petit, actually said "He was able to take off and land nearly on his own. I thought he'd come back but he didn't. He was very excited after that first flight."
Alhazmi later had two other short lessons at another training centre, after which he was described as "dumb" and where he did not perform very well. My understanding is that when he was trying to land, Almihdhar was praying loudly for Allah to save him in the rear seat, which may have put him off a bit. It is also Almihdhar who drew the wings on backwards, not Alhazmi.
I doubt these three lessons in San Diego were enough for him to learn to fly a Boeing 757, but if he did fly Flight 77 (and I'm not saying he did), then he must have had more training they are not telling us about.
In response to your question...
"How could the planes be controlled from the ground if the maneuver is sophisticated for a pilot?"
Remote controlled probably includes the ability to guide the plane according to coordinates and destination. It's my suspicion that it would not resemble a huge remote control plane but more like a pre-plotted strike right into the reinforced wedge. That is what I imagine because computer sophistication/technology use a combo of hardware and software. Just like the anti-aircraft missle batteries would be using a combo of hardware and software. /my2¢

"It's been said, and I think it's accurate, that my husband was obsessed by terrorism in general and al-Qaida in particular." (Hillary
Russ Wittenberg...
"I flew the two actual aircraft which were involved in 9/11... Fight number 175 and Flight 93, the 757 that allegedly went down in Shanksville and Flight 175 is the aircraft that's alleged to have hit the South Tower. I don't believe it's possible for... a so-called terrorist to train on a 172, then jump in a cockpit of a 757-767 class cockpit, and vertical navigate the aircraft, lateral navigate the aircraft, and fly the airplane at speeds exceeding it's design limit speed by well over 100 knots, make high-speed high-banked turns,.. pulling probably 5, 6, 7 G's... I couldn't do it and I'm absolutely positive they couldn't do it."
I haven't looked into the credibility of Russ Wittenberg, but if he is credible, this is pretty damning.

Dunno
At his alleged first flying lesson in April 2000 Alhazmi was said to be a decent beginner. At his second a month later he was said to be hopeless. According to the OCT, he then stopped having flying lessons altogether. However, he told at least two people he was continuing flying lessons and purchased some pilot training videos and maps. He was also seen using computer flight simulations. This is odd, but doesn't add up to that much.
I think if what Sakra is saying is true (and I'm not saying it is or it isn't at the moment, but al Qaeda has previously disputed the FBI and 9/11 Commission account of the hijackers' flight training, as have Rudi Dekkers and Arne Kruithoff), then that means that Alhazmi must have continued with his lessons and the FBI either (i) found evidence of this training and covered it up, or (b) the flying lessons were covert and the FBI didn't find evidence of them. Both interesting possibilities. What is interesting in this case is that the flying lessons we have heard about end when Alhazmi and Almihdhar move in with FBI informer Abdussattar Shaikh (who the 9/11 Commission couldn't even be bothered to name in their report). Shaikh does not seem to be telling us the whole truth about what happened and also worked for the somewhat dodgy American Commonwealth University, originally founded by Air Force general William Lyon. I have no idea whether Shaikh and Lyon ever met, but Lyon was still involved in aviation at this time and kept in contact with his old military friends, which makes me wonder.
I thought...
Only Steven Butler, Shaikh's handler, was allowed to testify before the Joint Congressional Inquiry, but "the Administration would not sanction a staff interview with the source (Shaikh), nor did the Administration agree to allow the FBI to serve a subpoena or a notice of deposition on the source (Shaikh)?”
