Heard on Thanksgiving day: Rush Limbaugh threatens caller who said Cheney bought insurance on WTC prior to 911

Heard on Rush Limbough, Thanksgiving day, November 22 2007, Best of Rush Broadcast Show, original airdate: November 6, 2007. (All such controversy is good publicity to get the Truth out. That 9-11 sure is a sore point... keep picking on it.)

Caller MOE from Columbus Ohio said: "... Well, two weeks before they went down, Cheney bought insurance on the World Trade Center. Now, him being in the circle that he was in, you think Bush didn't buy insurance on it? You think Condoleezza didn't buy insurance on it?"

Rush immediately attacked the caller with personal threats:

RUSH: Moe, you have done it. You have let the secret out. Nobody knew about Condoleezza and Cheney buying insurance on the World Trade Center buildings. Nobody knew that. You had to call here and you had to divulge that. Moe, there are ways the government can get us, and in this case, we have heard from them. It's called the Patriot Act. Government authorities have already contacted us asking us for a copy of your call. People have been working real hard, Moe, to keep what you blabbed to the whole country here, secret....

Moe, when they call us, we have to turn it over. It's the Patriot Act. You know, warrantless searches and wiretaps. They know where you are. They know you're in Columbus. There aren't a whole lot of Moes in Columbus. I don't think you should run. I don't think there's anywhere to go. There's nowhere to hide. If they can find out six months in advance that we're going to get blown up by terrorists and they know about it, let it happen, and go buy insurance on the buildings, they've got voice recognition equipment, Moe, that you would not even understand or believe. They have ways of breaking down via sine curves, disgronificators, any number of pieces of equipment, every aspect of your voice -- your inflection, everything. It's not a good thing, Moe, that you did. I didn't want to play this segment once I found out. We got the call during the break from the authorities. I'm a little shaken. Broadcast affiliates, I'm going to take the break early. Board ops, please stand by, because we're going to the first break early, because I am shaken. Damn it, nobody was supposed to know that! What did you put him on the air for, Snerdley?...

You, sir, Moe, are a candidate for waterboarding. I understand that Cheney has expanded it to domestic threats, and you, Moe, have definitely qualified. Now, you constitute a domestic threat with your inability to keep secrets. Nobody will be interested in how you found out about it, Moe. Well, they will be, actually. That's where the waterboarding comes in.

------
To his credit, Rush does go into some of the datails of 911 and gives considerable air time. For example: "...proponents of the demolition theory sometimes point out that between 1993 and 2000, Marvin Bush, the brother of President Bush, was on the board of directors of Securacom, which is a company that provided security for the World Trade Center. According to its present CEO, Barry McDaniel, the company had an ongoing contract to handle security at the World Trade Center up to the day the buildings fell down"

Good Blog lesage

Limbaugh is being highly sarcastic and deceitful in his speech.

Hiding facts in plain view. Silverstein's name should have come up instead of Cheney or Rice's.

To quote :

RUSH: Do you actually think...? Now, I'm being very serious. This is not a setup. Do you actually think they believe it? Do you think that they believe these conspiracy theories that they espouse? See, I don't. I'm speaking psychologically. If they really believed this stuff -- what they're saying is, if it were true -- action is required. If the government in fact blew up the World Trade Centers, for whatever reason, if they actually did it, if these people actually believe that the administration is spying on them and monitoring their phone calls, if they actually think that Bush lied about everything to go into Iraq, don't you think that there would be far more public demands and protests in the streets on the part of these people for redress and to stop it? These are really, really serious allegations, and I don't think they believe it. I think that they are just deranged. I think that they need something to give their lives meaning. They need something to believe and say to stand out. We've always had conspiracy theorists among us. I've been exposed to countless numbers of them my whole life. But I don't think they all really believe it, because their actions do not betray the fact that they really believe it. They just like running around spouting it.

End quote.

This is a master spinmaster and gatekeeper at work on a Chomskian scale. He apparently thinks 911 Truthers are democrats only.

"But I don't think they all really believe it, because their actions do not betray the fact that they really believe it"

How about this people Limbaugh?

There is ANOTHER Patriot ACT coming soon for the likes of Limbaugh and the Murdoch money hounds.

In the immortal words of Johnny Cash.

God is gonna cut you down.

The CONSTITUTION is NOT going to "collapse" into pulverized dust no matter how much thermate/explosives or planes they throw at it

re: Limbaugh is being highly sarcastic and deceitful

Yes, it seems he is walking on a tightrope.

On the one hand, he brings out lots of 911 detail, while playing the official story game. He did not NEED to continue on, and on, with that 911 discussion. And then replay Moe's comments both on the show, and then, repeat it again as re-transmission in his Best Of Thanksgiving show.

Rush could have just dismissed the whole subject as Kooky, and stopped, short.

Even his sarcastic references to Water Boarding and the Patriot Act read like he is trying to say something between the lines. And his link to Popular Mechanics at the end, just looks like an after thought, as a formality.

Overall, I think he let the cat out of the bag.

(Thanks, Constitutional).

And after he let the cat out of the bag...

How many curious listeners investigated the "Cheney insurance scam" and ran into....(horrors!!)...images of WTC7 collapsing at free fall speed and...(horrors!!)...Silverstein stating "and they made that decision to pull and we watched the building collapse", and maybe even taking that one giant step towards truth? How many people were affected by this comment? One? Hundreds? He opened some doors...why???? You're right. He could have dismissed as a kook and gone on with the show.

Staged call--9/11 truth activists are the target

Look, this is an obvious staged call. NO ONE HAS EVER CLAIMED CHENEY et al BOUGHT INSURANCE ON WTC. That is STUPID.

So what is the point? The point is that WE are being set up to be the targets 'domestic, homegrown' terrorism.

great point
"I will not withdraw from this war even if Laura and Barney are the only ones supporting me." -George W. Bush

Caller gives bad info...

Cheney didn't buy insurace on the twin towers... Larry Siverstein did.

It's a Setup

I've never heard in my 5 years of researching 9/11 that Cheney bought any stupid insurance on the WTC...Ridiculous...It was a setup STRAWMAN tactic that evil whores like Limbaugh relish in using. By the way, I think we should focus some of our fire on this RKOWENS4 Youtube channel...There are some serious Straw Man tactics being used on there and there are a bunch of disinfo agents cheering this RK guy on.

I'm doing what I can, but let's hit 'em with the truth at RKOWENS4 on youtube!
Thanks!

RKOWENS4 Let's Him 'em Hard there!

http://youtube.com/user/RKOwens4

I've been putting this off for some time, but I think it's important we hit this youtube channel full force because this RKOWENS4 guy is brilliant , but he's a strawman tactic guy and he's got a lot of support on there.

http://youtube.com/user/RKOwens4

It's the usual disinfo, take one plausible fact.....

and dispel the opposition's entire argument. It's for the dumbed down masses, who are virtually unable to think critically. This stuff RKOWENS4 puts out on this video clip, couldn't survive a debating 101 class.

Yes, there may have been buckling of the steel before the building drops--you can't call it a collapse if you have even a modicum of sense--the building is just too pulverized--where are the floors? Collapse implies pulled down by the force of gravity. Gravity will not eject steel beams hundreds of feet into neighboring buildings. Oh, you say, it may have been secondary explosions? Yes, it may be the case, but what were the cause of these?

The clip itself provided by RKOWENS4 which shows buckling of an entire floor at the 2:20 mark as if bulging, appears to resemble more the pressure wave of an explosion since the floor seems to straighten after the skin is pierced? There are many reports of secondary explosions which aren't even mentioned by this clip!

RKOWENS4, who is probably more likely 44 than 22, and more likely with Blackwater and just been to New Orleans, argues there was no concrete protecting the steel only foam that was dislodged by the planes? Kevin Ryan points out nicely that the foam would not have been uniformily dislodged? You can also see with your own eyes that the people walking down the streets are covered in dust and ash much of it resembling concrete. There's evidence that there was a concrete core.

This link is not new but it's worth a look since it points out all the disinfo that may be upon us? This interpretation is based on a rare documentary, "The Engineering and Construction of the Twin Towers," which shows the actual engineering of the twin towers and not the early concept of 47 core columns that we've been fed. In an interview, Chris Brown submits the upward spire of smoke is due to the explosions coming from the concrete core which is funnelled straight up:

Twin Tower construction

RKOWENS4 does a slick job manufacturing his myth based on one plausible fact that there was bowing of steel which led to collapse. It just can't survive a wider examination, however!

If you think for yourself, you know, you

...can't believe them!

I was wondering what the thread was about.

I was like "Dick Cheney?? Insurance??Huh??"

I don't think I've ever heard that claim in the last six years. Obviously a staged call, a very ignorant "truther", or some Government well poisoner. Funny thing is, I don't think the usual Rush audience would know the difference.

It was a staged call

No way did Rush ever give anyone the time of day before, when this subject was brought up. Rush would cut them off, suggest they get their medication and yell at Snirdley for letting the call get through. This time however, he lets the call through. I agree, I don't think the Rush audience would know the difference about the details of the events of 9/11.

Perhaps and even most certainly staged

But what does it matter if it were staged? I mean given the transcript and the air time allocated. The controversy is good publicity for Truth, not-with-standing the finer details.

Cheney cashed in

every other way imaginable--he didn't need to commit insurance fraud to make a huge profit.
MrEguy

"Cheney bought insurance on

"Cheney bought insurance on WTC prior to 911"

^ Where the hell is the evidence for that?

Rush to Homeland Security threat

Rush may think he's clever in his sarcasm and relating of a Homeland Security mock threat to Moe! But, it's not funny and meant to desensitize as if it is not a very real possibility. It's more PsychOps in my humble opinion! 9/11 Truthers are just off-in-the-head and this aint going to happen, folks! You can just hear the sick reassurance.

...don't believe them!

Rush a closet truther?

Anything is possible. Presenting 911 truth info to Rush's listeners is some trick.

Cheney buying insurance on WTC is pure disinfo. Perhaps Rush was helping disinfo, perhaps not. Nothing is certain.

"MOE" - I mean whose name is

"MOE" - I mean whose name is more synonymous with prank phone calls?

Never mind.

Nice observation...

coincidence? I think not.

fake call

Agree with the staged straw man take.

Anyone who gets through to Rush Limbaugh, be sure to sign off with "Have another pill, Rush."

not bad

here is my comment on how listeners will take this segment (remember that 2/3 of Rush's listeners lean conservative and 1/3 lean liberal):

many or most will get a good chuckle at some "kook"

but many will also notice:

1) Rush never denies what the callers says

2) many will notice that what the caller said doesn't sound kooky and what he says sounds plausible

3) many will mistake what Rush said as the truth about the Patriot Act.

4) some might even notice that the caller mistook Cheney for Silverstein.

It doesn't work, and here's why

A person or business has to have an "insurable interest" in something or someone to purchase insurance on it or them.

Cheney had no insurable interest in the World Trade Center, just as I have no insurable interest in the Statue of Liberty.

Therefore, it is horse shit, and fertilizer for the Straw Man.

Silverstein had an insurable interest, which he insured, and collected on, which is a matter of publice record.

Don't get distracted by the daisies.

CONTROLLED DEMOLITION= PRIOR KNOWLEGE AND PLANNING

"For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it might cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know it - now"
- Patrick Henry

We take this from a guy

Who is still in training as to how to get his medication safely with him as he flies.
It really looks like the similar attempts of fellow neoconners to use doublespeak within their rants.
They have been so blinded by ambition that they do not see how the truth is revealed within their attempts at discrediting their opponents. Time and again I see it.
Picture Condi Rice or Rudy G. uttering their statements, then look at their heads going sideways, as if saying "no, no, no." They say one thing while totally thinking and meaning another. And that other is generally not good, for the common folk.
Limbaugh is so opinionated that he really does sway many to agree with him. Too bad he's wrong.
Maybe I'll call him and ask if his 'fridge is running...?

If...

You are going to post stories that talk about alleged "truthers" promoting bullshit information, than you should put a disclaimer that explains it as such.

For instance, "Although the idiot caller obviously had no idea what he was talking about, it speaks volumes that Rush considered him "a candidate for waterboarding."
