After Tossing 9/11 Truthers, Maher Makes Amends With Far Left

This is really strange as the author of this article seems to think that making a connection between the left and 9/11 truth will somehow hurt the left.

After Tossing 9/11 Truthers, Maher Makes Amends With Far Left

By Noel Sheppard

It appears the good folks at HBO must have been extremely concerned that "Real Time" host Bill Maher was going to lose many of his viewers as a result of his tossing 9/11 truthers from the audience two weeks ago.

After all, Maher even admitted at the opening of the discussion segment of Friday's program, albeit almost apologetically, "I'm not going to pretend that we have ideological balance on this panel."

Ideological balance? Are you kidding?

Here were Maher's attendees this fine Friday evening in no specific order: The proprietor of Daily Kos, Markos Moulitsas; comedian Martin Short, and; MSNBC's Alison Stewart.

As it turned out, not only were all three of the panel members far to the left politically, but also one of Maher's other special guests was Jeremy Scahill, a correspondent for the practically socialist publication the Nation.

Honestly, Bill, could you be any more obvious about your desire to reconnect with your liberal audience?

Yet, even more shameful was the opening segment after the monologue when Maher invited Valerie Plame and Joe Wilson to once again tell their side of the now infamous story whilst never mentioning the person that actually admitted leaking the name of the so-called covert CIA operative in question.

Here's a hint, Bill: Dick Armitage. Ever heard the name? Or, was that irrelevant this evening as you were so obviously trying to make amends with folks on the far left you had offended by tossing their brethren from the audience two weeks back?

Maybe more importantly, although the civil suit the Wilsons filed against prominent members of the Bush administration was addressed, Maher didn't feel the need to mention that the case had been dismissed.

Really, Bill, if this is what you need to do to curry favor with your viewers, would you please drop the pretense that you're at all impartial and try to not be so obvious about it?

It's really offensive to those who remember when you actually had a soul as well as something of value to say.

lefty loosey righty tighty?

Yeah that is funny really,. . I as someone who identifies more with the left i.e socalist principals of sharing and working together as apposed to what I consider the rightwing kookiness of 'rugid individualism' and the insanity of 'free markets' ruleing resource ownership and human interactions,. I get rather frustrated with my right-leaning brethrin in this here so called 'truth movment'.
To try to equate the truth with lefty ideology is crazy,. truth is truth, and as we all know here,. we don't agree on the politics of left vs right at all!
I embrace my libritarian brothers in their persute of individual freedom as that is where the so called 'political spectrum becomes more of a circle than a line,. go radical in eather direction and you seem to end up in the same place,. my criticisim of the 'right' is the lack of social responsibility,. the lack of will to help all people, not just the lucky and the strong,. the acknolagment that common resources (water, oil, land) belong to all of us, not just those that control or claim to 'own' things,. In fact I would love to debat any of you right identified people on the logic and justness of your political ideals,. you loose me with this Ron Paul guy,. as he is advocating corporate rule,. privatizing everything leads to monopolistic top down owners rule,. how is that freedom? I think you guys equate yourselves as owners and therefore rulers over others and I will have no part of a system of plantations and slaves,. thats what we have now, in the pretend free market,. freedom for some .ie owners,. to the enslavement of all others .ie peasents is not acceptable,. .
to be clear socialism is not big state communism,. socialism is an acknolagement that humans are social creatuers that can only thrive when we share and work together,. I advocate NO states,. anarcho-socialism,. if you like,. one world one people,. anything less in uncivilized.

Besides as you know the Volcans will not give us Warp-drives untill we come together as one family of humans the world over., so lets get it together so we can travel the stars.., or just save this planet from destruction!

While on the subject...

of right-left and Ron Paul, I just want to add a few comments.

I also am more-or-less a leftist. In fact, I used to consider myself a Trotskyist communist, but since communism has gone out of fashion so much and most of the countries that called themselves communist mostly discredited themselves or failed in one way or another (with the notable exception of Cuba), there doesn't seem to be much point in being a "communist."

Anyway, I notice that many of my left-leaning friends in the "grass roots", that is, just regular shlunks like myself not in any position of power or authority, seem quite ready and likely to embrace 911 truth. But, as we well know, the "professional" leftists seem to be among the least likely. More doctrinaire and feeling they have lots to lose if they are wrong, I guess. I find it extemely infuriating, because I strongly believe 911 truth is the "key."

Ron Paul. I feel sympathetic to him in a lot of ways, because he seems really sincere about wanting to stop our foreign aggression and stop the warfare state. These are some of my biggest issues, and he seems as dedicated as Kucinich, whom I support, and perhaps more likely to get a chance to try to do carry out his aims. I'm considering registering Republican in order to vote for him in the primary. But, doesn't he identify completely with, say, Milton Friedman? That's the guy Kissinger and Nixon shoved down the throats of the Chileans after they overthrew the president. Isn't Paul in agreement with the neo-coms economically, if not in terms of imperialism? Wouldn't he (didn't he) agree with Paul Bremmer's plan to privatize Iraq? Has he ever voted in sympathy with labor unions? So, although I would like to see a beautiful agreement of left and libertarian and an end to partisan squabbling, with Kucinich and Paul agreeing to split the presidency, end imperialism and so forth, I can't quite see how it could work. At least we have a common belief in 911 truth, and that's a big something.

Finally, I need to say something about Alex Jones. I couldn't more respect his work on 911 and false flag terrorism. I've seen most of his films, and I agree with a lot of what he says. His website is the ONLY one I actually pay money to, because I started doing it in order to download his films, and kept doing it because I want to have some connection to a Texan libertarian with a big mouth who "talks truth to power." But I don't get his opposition to global warming and the real need to work at slowing or stopping population growth. Mike Rivero's "What Really Happened" is the ONLY website I look at every day, except for 911blogger, and he's the same. I just don't understand it. I have been following ecological issues since I started reading the "Mother Earth News" in the 60's, and I know I'm right about it and they are not.

Anyway, I just needed to vent a little, and I hope my comments will be taken in the spirit they are meant, that is, fraternally.

Markos Moulitsas is a

Markos Moulitsas is a complete clown, I mean what kind of ego driven garbage prompts someone to create a blog site after their own name "DailyKos", and then get a bunch of rabid cult members to worship him? At least call it "DailyMarkos" if you're going to stoop that low, is he that ashamed of his name he has to abbreviate it?

This is from a nutbar right-wing website

whose interpretation of mass media is so off the wall it's not worth our time.

Robert Baer Says Evidence Points To 911 Inside Job

It's getting increasingly harder for Mainstream Media to ignore 9/11 Truth.

Bill Maher and Geraldo tries to ridicule 9/11 Truth but end up looking quite ridiculous themselves....

How do you make your DVDs?

I hand out DVDs also. (See http://sc911truth.freehostia.com/films.htm for my latest.) But I just make them on my home computer and each one take about 12-15 minutes, although I can be doing other things around the house while I make them. But I have trouble making more than 25 or so, and even that requires me spending the better part of several days.

How do you make 400? I don't have much money for this, so I'm looking for a way I could boost production at the lowest cost. As you know, DVD blanks only cost about 20 cents each, and I don't want pay someone else to make them, unless it would be really cheap, so I figure I need to buy some kind of machine that will spit them out. Any suggestions?

By the way, I started making my own covers out of typing paper, two to a sheet, since the "store-bought" ones are about 10 cents apiece, adding 50% to the total cost. That way, also, I can print detailed info on the cover and just put a quick "skeleton" label on the disk with a marker.

Thanks for any tips.

Keep up the good work, y'all!

hey fred

Both pw and myself have a dupilcator.. my duplicator will burn 10dvds in about 6-7 minutes. The duplicator can be purchased with an internal hard drive. Mine has a 320 g hd... You can then copy a movie image to the HD. Ihave over 60 titles in the drive, so if I want to burn say 911mysteries.... I select it from the hd and slip 10dvds into the burners and go... I bought the duplicator with pioneer burners... most are good but imho pioneer is the best.
The time consuming thing is labeling and slipping them into the sleeves. The label dont have to be perfect....Label the dvd with the title with black magic marker, buy white paper sleeves at meritline.com for .03 cents a piece with a minimum of 2 k.... Newegg.com just had a dvd special last week . I bought 700 at 19.99 per 100 with free shipping. I have passed out over 4k.
Keep atuned to the sales ... do not pay for shipping... only buy with shipping included. costco had a sale a few months ago 200 for the price of 100... keep your eye out. try not to pay over 21 buckes with shipping and taxes.
when you see the sale buy a thousand.....
I think I paid about $750 for the dup with shipping
good luck

Bipartisanship for 9/11 truth.

You are right this is not a political issue, but its serves the purposes of the establishment to paint the truth movement as political
radical left wing crazies or "Loonie Lefties" to borrow a phrase from British politics. It fits in with the wacky conspiracy theorist label as well.
As, among the general public, those on the right tend to be a little dumber and less politically aware those on the left, the right wing
establishment can use the political right to suppress the truth movement and other political movements aiming to expose their real
agendas.
It is up to us to show that our movement is not politically motivated and is generally bipartisan made up of people from all political persuasions,
and that this is a vital issue not just to all Americans but to the future of the whole world.
Thats an idea what about:- Bipartisanship for 9/11 truth.

I had hoped that, by now,

I had hoped that, by now, everyone involved in the 9/11 truth movement had stopped talking about the left and the right. The two party system is an illusion. It is nothing but a designed divide and conquer technique. Both "parties" serve the same masters.

I know that there are only a very small amount of replies to this and that this is not representative of anything, but I felt the need to point this out because it was disappointing to see.

No more Maher news please

How much more Maher news does 9-11 Blogger need? If he did anything but read scripts, he'd be off-air with Rosie. He's just the 'left' O'Reilly. He's propped up to reinforce the political spectrum con. That is, America should be divided 50/50 over sex issues - a strange focus of his, maybe fetish is the word.

His 'panel' is a flock of Mockingbird goons. The druids of manipulation waving their holly-wood wands. Noel Sheppard needs a clue.

Dailykossack is confessed CIA. He claimed to be "ex-" when found out. In other words, they revised his cover story. News flash, there is no such thing as "ex-" in his line of work. They all get suddenly "ex-" when discovered, like Anderson Cooper.

Kos maintains - on TV no less - that CIA is basically good, he'd work for them again, and they do good in the world. Wow, what a 'left' position. And of course, he censors 9-11 Truth. And of course, gets endless media appearances on C-SPAN, Colbert, etc.

Valerie Plame and Joe Wilson were supposedly victimized by evil 'right' snitches. But wait a minute...even 'hard left' analyst Ralph Schoenman called Plame's outing "the SS versus the SA." These globetrotting Operatives Plame hatched nefarious plots worldwide.
http://takingaimradio.com

The Plame affair elicits sympathy for poor innocent CIA operators, harmlessly lying across the planet fomenting violence! And propping up the phony left-right contest! If it were up to me, they'd all be outed. Secret police, agents, and informers in every profession is not democracy.

Of course connection with "9/11 Truth" would "hurt the left"

Where have you been?

The 9/11 Truth and Justice Movement is a pariah in "their" eyes. "They" being pretty much everyone who doesn't believe in 9/11 Truth, which is a very large segment of the populace. (regardless of the polls that some people like to claim suggest that many people tend toward 9/11 Truth — anyone who thinks differently is seriously deluded — the proof for my assertion is the current state of the movement)

That's why Amy Goodman, Bill Maher, John Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Keith Olbermann, and so many others steer clear of 9/11 Truth like it was the plague.

That is also why I think we need to quit seeking out the "Credibility Holy Grail", because we are never going to get it, no matter how hard we try.

Even if "9/11 Truth" was "proved", which it will probably never be, we still would not have any or receive any "credibility" from the majority of people. We will be lucky to achieve the status of the non-lone gunman theory of the Kennedy Assassination. And we haven't even gotten there yet. (i.e., the belief level equivalent of some larger segment of the populace)

Again, people need to quit worrying about what other people think. If you think you are right, then you act accordingly regardless of what others think, and you should give them less than a second thought.

All of this worrisome hand-wringing not only makes us look bad, but it empowers and emboldens "the enemy".

As for still talking about Bill Maher, or the efficacy of what occurred on his show and it's effect on the movement, it's been a few weeks, and we are STILL getting "media coverage" of various forms, including from Maher himself. (if I didn't think he was such an ass, I would believe that he is specifically making comments about it to keep it in the news — he could be a closet believer, but I don't think he's even gotten to that point yet — or maybe the activists have finally turned on a dim light in Bill's head)
