Bill Maher Interrupted in Real Time Overtime while Pushing Big Lie

A couple weeks ago, I attended a Real Time w/ Bill Maher taping with a fellow 9-11 Truther from Southern California. Maher's guests were Rep. Rahm Emanuel, Michael Eric Dyson and Pete Hamill. I could not keep my opinions to myself, especially with Rahm Emanuel mincing words about very important issues. So I shouted out a few times. I guess it got to Maher since it reached a crescendo during the Overtime segment. Right after he mentioned the overwhelming Saudi make-up of the 9-11 hijackers, I yelled out "Patsies." At this point he called me a "loudmouth asshole" and told security to shut me up. While security was talking to me, he said he would come down and kick my ass if he had to, eliciting audience applause. I wish had heard that at the time since I would have told him to debate me instead. It's agreed also that next time, the words "Don't tazer me bro!" might be apppropriate and disarming. Check it out here. It gets going @ about 2:30 into it.

I would love to start a discussion about interruptions as a tactic in the movement and presentation in general. Does this type of thing serve the movement's ends, to gain recognition of the truth around 9-11 and bring perpe-traitors to justice, or does this give us a bad name? I'm very interested in this dialogue. I think that there might be a place in the movement for the hard line (i.e. interrupting, heckling, "9-11 was an inside job") and the softer line (asking questions, civil discourse, "9-11 cover-up"). Personally, I like to work with both forms. It might be like the MLK and Malcolm X split of the civil rights movement, although both men clearly were willing to use a variety of approaches.

All I know is that when I heard Maher say "like the 9-11 hijackers," I felt I would be complicit by staying silent while knowing what I know. Did I accomplish much, probably not, but I'm open to how this type of thing could be used to create the type of intrigue that Hollywood loves and could help bring 9-11 truth further into the limelight. With WeAreChangeLA hitting a nerve in the video response to Maher, have we now milked this for all its worth, or is there reason to keep pushing?

LA-area folks:

Friday, October 12th @ CBS Studio for Bill Maher taping direct action (entrance on Fairfax @ Beverly) @ 5:30 pm-7pm

Come on Out!

Support.

I ain't got no problems with that. Sometimes you have to take the hard approach like you say, and sometimes the soft. I think with Bill Maher the hard is definitely warranted. A little audience participation never hurt anyone!! I'm actually very thankful you did this. We are talking about Treason here and it isn't something to take lightly. Bill can't claim ignorance on it, he's already confronted it and thrown the first shot over the bow so to say. (Although we kicked his ass with the follow-up and then spanked him). But if he is willfully not looking into this or purposefully towing the party line, than that deserves confrontation and possibly jail time. The founders weren't messing around when they wrote about treason and citizens responsibility to speak up when they see or hear of it.

I hope that portrays my deepest appreciation and respect for your courage in that environment. It is just awful to think we live in such a time where people need to be afraid and all that. I'm guilty of it myself everyday you know. Finding the appropriate level of action is something we all must deal with.

Anyway. Rock on bro. As Muhammad Ali would say "Don't back down... Speak your mind" And that pretty much sums it up for me.

"The Truth is an Offense, but not a Sin" ~ Bob Marley.

This act of patriotism didn't even register on my level of rude meter. It was warranted and brilliant. No harm done. People go to that show for political discourse... if they can't stand it.. get the *&^% out the kitchen.

We should all do similar

We should all do similar thing when anyone is trying to sell us the official conspiracy theory of 9/11. Yes! you did accomplish a lot by NOT being silent. I wanna see how the real A-hole would react when the same thing happens for the second time and third time he mentions 9/11.

Sometimes just being persistent in what you do is the key to success. Let them be scared!

thanks y'all

Yeah, i like the idea that by the end of this season, Maher won't be able to say "9-11" without double-clutching.
We'll be out on the street this week. maybe someone will be on the inside, or we will reach someone on the way in.

I guess we all should start

I guess we all should start getting tickets to talk shows.

Swarm both the TV and radio call in shows

Yeah if we got serious over a series of months about radio and tv only, we could make quite a wave.
Remember that run up to the CSPAN presentation last year? We could and should do that every week. We could begin to bring them to their knees.

Excellent job!

Their sense of security is having the masses be silent. The more they sense that alot more of us know and wont be quiet about it, the better.
We are past the 51% tipping point, so things like this should be more common in the future.

Good job!

You are my new hero

Along with the guy who gets on the intercom at Walmart and starts blurting out the truth for the whole store to hear.

These types of courageous efforts really help motivate other truthers.

I'm so glad SOMEONE stands up to these monsters.

And funny how the little wussy pants talks about kicking ass when he's sitting behind a desk, calling security, and wearing makeup!

Jokes on you Bill. Or should we call you a "puppet"

Listen to Rahm's snivelling

Rahm snivels when Maher says he is gonna kick my ass. No one wants to touch the question after it, though that Pete Hamill guy drops the Carlyle Group and quite a conspiracy theory after he gets revved up. I wish Dyson would say something. He mentioned Immortal Technique at some point in the show. I wonder what he thinks of "Bin Laden didnt blow up the projects"?

Our Greatest Fear Is That We Are Powerful Beyond Measure.

"Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, fabulous, gorgeous, talented? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. You're playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that's within us. It's not just in some of us. It's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we automatically give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others." --Marianne Williamson

This Quote is sometimes appropriate in a movement for expressing the truth.

Bravo

It is not "our" job to stop spreading the truth, it is "their" job to stop spreading the lies. You took that effort another step forward.

Bill Maher is a clever joke-teller who excels at finding the absurdity of politics. He's clearly a smart guy who, because of the different shows he's hosted, has always been plugged-in to the issues, but he works a little to hard at controlling the audience. The tone of his voice, and the words he uses at times, are meant to intimidate the audience. The message, imo, is clear, 'speak up and I might confront you." He needs to understand that those rules are fine considering that it's his show, but as someone pointed out earlier in this thread: That kind of b.s. will not fly when it comes to urgent issues that affect all Americans and that he either knows nothing about, or he just doesn't want to explore because he's afraid he might get fired again for doing something unpopular regarding 9/11 (Politically Incorrect).

Either way you have my respect for speaking up.

Of course he wants to kick

Of course he wants to kick your ass, you are destroying his chance to spew propaganda.

but I think it would be better if you could have one person yelling "patsies!" and then at least four or five yelling "yeah!" right after, so it doesn't sound like this is just one persons opinion.

anyway, I think it's great that you protest his nonsense.

I would have taken his kick ass challenge and f-ed him up bad. I am so polite, I don't decline invitations..

SUPER!

It's so funny seeing people who are so "funny" themselves all the time get so angry so sudden when someone speaks truth. WELL DONE, we need this in every show!

At the end he thanks he public, all the public!

Great job! I think that was

Great job! I think that was perfect, you didn’t go nuts and start yelling "SCUM" or anything, you just calmly said "pasties" at the right moment. Can’t fault it really, I think this should set an example.

Maher is an ass!

And I wrote and told him so, I suggest we all do, let him know.

Show "I don't support." by 911MagicianComm...

He already did have a vendetta

He said we needed Paxil. He was asking us to come at him. I'm open to your point of view though. Thank you for it.

Either way....

You have quite a set of cajones and I admire you for that.

I say: Go For it, without discrediting yourself

It's not Maher you need to convince. It's the unconvinced, the ones without conviction, the ignorant. And there are always plenty of those in a large crowd.

Getting the message out there consistently, in spite of threats of getting your "ass kicked" is noble, and courageous. You have something to lose, you can be arrested, even tortured for your views. This causes people to look and take note.

If you do it with dignity and authority, you can win.

This last 9-11, I put up about 25 signs around town. All they said was:

911Truth.org
911Blogger.com

Straight to the point, simple, easily readable, nothing to be debunked, merely a way to get more information.

Some of the signs are still up today. Not a bad record, and I'm sure thousands of motorists have seen them. (Avoid going near freeways, as they have special laws to lock you up.) I attached the printed paper to a cardboard backing and nailed them up with one nail just like garage sale signs, on telephone poles and trees.

It's very important to frame the issue. If you initiate the discussion, you have that opportunity to set the parameters. "The government lied, and millions of us want the truth." That's a true statement, and not a theory. It's hard to challenge, and it establishes legitimacy.

When they call you a "conspiracy nut" you go back to your original position. "They lied, and continue to cover up, and I can prove it."

Lastly, Maher is part of the controlled media. It is my firm belief that the great motivator of many of these gatekeepers is a blanket defense of Israel. They know that Mossad was here on 9-11, over at Urban Moving Systems, and that "explosives" were reported both in UMS vans and at the warehouse. 2+2, if Israeli agents blew up those buildings, then it must be covered up and anyone suggesting the reality must be discredited. There are no other options for the defenders of Israel. I believe Maher is one of them.

I have met so much hostility over bringing up Urban Moving Systems, that this is not just speculation on my part. I've been called every name in the Zionist playbook for not letting it go. I'm going to write a blog about some of my experiences soon.

To quote our Secretary of Homeland Security, my "gut feeling" tells me you are correct.

But the assumption that "There are no other options for the defenders of Israel" is the crux of the problem. Most American and Israeli Jews are not fanatical Zionists and would be as enraged if Mossad were proven the contractor in the demolitions as would be most Christians to learn the CIA (WASP establishment) or DoD were involved. The Israeli public is no more culpable for the actions of their covert operators than is the US public for what goes on at Langley or in Cheney's bunker. Generalizing complicity is toxic and serves the cover-up. The perpetrators must be isolated from the publics they use to shield themselves from justice. American Jewish intellectuals and celebrities must be assured that Israel's legitimacy is not at stake.

Maher is a shill of the highest order. He shouldn't get through a single show without people calling him out on his propagation of the big lie. I applaud you for your efforts.

Multiple Dissenters -- Yes!

Great job.

And I agree... you need to go in groups and have others confirm your blurt out... it's contageous.

I've seen wearechange.org videos and when you start to hear multiple agreements, others tend to join in.

It's sort of like doing the wave at the baseball stadium.

Quite frankly, Bill Maher needs to get "truth squaded" -- at home, at a restaurant, etc. He's VERY dangerous because he's on TV (and spreads propaganda). Funny, he's got a big mouth on TV, but I'd bet he'd be really shy when 5 truthers circle him on the street to ask some questions.
