We don't have enough 9/11 Humor.
This cartoon is mildly funny from a local weekly newspaper, "The Chico Beat", Vol. 2, #29, Sep. 14, 2007.
Even if it is somewhat making fun of "us". (although, this shows that 9/11 Truth and Justice is slowly but surely infiltrating the American culture and psyche)

I agree - the Death of the Republic is no laughing matter
911 is a serious matter.
It is a terminal cancer on the American Political Landscape. At the very least.
People won't be laughing once the fullness of Patriot Act I, II and the Victory Act starts bearing fruit.

There has to a Re-Awakening and TRUE Understanding of the Constitution.
This document shone as a light and inspiration for over 200 years for many governments and law making bodies around the world.

Get a sense of humor. It will do you wonders.
People started making jokes about 9/11 on day one. It's called "dark humor", "black humor", and "gallows humor".
There's a reason why "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart and "The Colbert Report" with Stephen Colbert are so popular, among others. (like "Real Time" with Bill Maher) And why they are the main source of news for so many people, old and young alike. And why people like what they are doing when they show what a major fuck-up the current administration is, and the so-called war in Iraq, etc. They are probably a major reason why Bush and Cheney have such low numbers. And why so many people are against the war now. And if not a major reason, they have definitely played their part in a very big way. All the while joking about how they are a "fake news show". (with a wink and a nod to the audience)
They may not have jumped on the 9/11 Truth and Justice bandwagon yet, but when they do, all Hell is gonna break loose. They will accomplish within a matter of weeks what we have not been able to do in years. It's the way things work. (of course, all of the hard work we have all done has set the stage for both what they do and how they will be received)
And it's no surprise to me that you don't understand the importance of "infiltrating the American culture and psyche", based on your too-long rant.
If you want to be all depressed and upset and angry and down all the time, then that is your choice. But don't berate others for "having a life".
Life goes on, even when crap like 9/11 and Iraq occur and continue on. And people deal with it in a variety of ways.
There's a reason why we have sayings like, "Laughter is the best medicine", and others like it.
People need to broaden their horizons more, and also deepen their understanding of things. Wearing blinders and having a shallow understanding of the way things work, and the reasons why people do and don't do the things they do, results in problematic scenarios for everyone.

One New World Order überParanoid, who has at least 13 theories about why the light bulb burnt out in the first place, and has done extensive "research" connecting the company who made the light bulb with: 1) Hitler's cousin's brother in law's step-son, whose mother's sister's great grand niece worked as a teller at the bank that gave the company their startup loan; 2) The "Illuminati"; 3) The Council on Foreign Relations; 4) The North American Union, who use the same brand of light bulb at their weekly staff meetings; and 5) the Freemasons, who are absolutely the same thing as modern day "Masons". (no, seriously)
One No Planer, who claims the light bulb was never operational in the first place, never shined with the intensity of "normal light bulbs" anyway, and has an out-of-focus photo of the light bulb from a birthday party from two weeks prior that they have ANALyzed and calculated the "pixel mass" of the supposed light bulb's light, showing it to be of questionable luminosity.
One Space Beamer, who has found an obscure "scientist"/university professor who claims the electromagnetic radiation emitted from the so-called "light bulb" falls into a spectrum of an hitherto unknown frequency band that causes everything in the room made of plaid fabric to burst into flames if you look at it sideways, and speculates that the Gubmint knows all about this "black technology". Stay tuned.
One Mini-Nuker, who claims that the light bulb has leaked a previously unknown, barely detectable form of radiation, and it's a good thing it burned out when it did because it was just about to go nova and create a mini black hole that would have sucked up everyone and everything in the room into its event horizon.
And one 9/11 Truth Activist, sitting back laughing his ass off (taking a rare break), with his finger on the light switch, waiting for them to all crap themselves, ready to flip the switch on when they reach out to unscrew the "burned out light bulb".
(unfortunately, only about 30% to 40% +/- of the people reading this will think it's funny; perhaps less when you take into account the fact that most people have the sense of humor of a burnt peanut)
