Reminder: General Strike

Just a reminder. For anyone that can possibly take the day off work tomorrow, or can refrain from shopping (stock up tonight!), or can play hookie from school, I invite you to participate in the General Strike on 9/11.

If we hit 'em in the bottom line, they're going to have to notice. If goods aren't made and services aren't delivered due to people calling in sick, they're going to have to notice.

If the economic indicators show a blip, they're going to get the message.

Congress won't investigate 9/11. Prosecutors won't prosecute the 9/11 perpetrators. The courts will throw out the 9/11 cases (even though they are supposed to be apolitical). NOTHING will happen unless We The People stand up, peacefully strike and boycott.

Remember to be peaceful. Anyone who is violent or disruptive should be kicked out of the strike.

Perhaps, but it certainly doesn't look that way to me

What I have seen is anything but reassuring. The first thing I saw was an effort to impute to Tarpely guilt by association with LaRouche. I know very little about LaRouche other than lots of people trash him, and some of the people close to him have come up with some gems of information. When I asked for specifics regarding the allegations against LaRouche I was referred to a site run by Chip Berlet, who just so happens to have been the second "expert" paraded out by the History Channel in their 9/11 hit piece to shill the OCT. I mean, excuse me for being a bit suspicious, but... And it kept going like that. I was just expected to accept what I was being told without good reason to believe it.

No, I am not a member of the D.C. group.

What brought me to 9/11 truth was a combination of my experience working on the inside of DoD IT security and seeing how totally compromised our national security really is, my experience exploring all the forbidden paths in history from Ur to the Nürnberg lynchings, and a link to Painful Deceptions sent to me by a trusted friend.

Sorry bud, but I simply call it as I see it. What I am doing is showing you a few rather conspicuous signs that things are not as they are presented. If pointing out that Gloria Steinem was working with the CIA, and providing information about memberships of her group to her handlers back when she was an "anti-establishment activist" means that I am trying to sow discord, so be it!

Kind of silly, when you think about it...

How does buying something today, rather than tomorrow, effect anything positively other than short-term cash flow for the supplier of a good/service? It certainly doesn't have any effect whatsoever, positive or negative, on their bottom line.

The ONLY way to effect the bottom line of an objectionable vendor/corporation is to reduce or eliminate ALL purchases of their goods and/or services. You damn sure don't do it by buying it today rather than tomorrow.

Unfortunately, this requires doing a little more thinking than most are willing to apply to the problem. All too often, it ultimately requires more of a radical shift in the way we conduct our own lives than we are willing to implement.

Oil interests, mediaopolies, and merchants of the implements of death and destruction are relatively easy to identify and avoid, where possible. However, I would like to see other corporations and/or products to avoid be identified. And, it would be helpful to absolutely necessary to identify acceptable substitutes.

I say Boycott all corporate

I say Boycott all corporate entities when ever possible - buy from other citizens rather than retail chains, patronize the last remaining mom and pop stores rather than home depot and walmart, buy a used car rather than lease / purchase a new one, go to a farmers market more often to purchase your groceries and produce, etc.

Vote with your Dollars, its the only language these corporations understand.

I agree, HOWEVER

a strike/boycott sends the message that we are paying attention, and that we know we have the POWER to do more fundamental shifts in our buying/work habits, and understand the power of civil disobedience.
