Donald Rumsfeld's Eerie 9/11 Premonition

During a recent Congressional hearing on the "friendly fire" death of football star Pat Tillman in Afghanistan in 2004, Representative John Mica (R-Fla) gave new details about an 8 o'clock breakfast meeting held at the Pentagon the morning of 9/11 by then-Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. Mica told the hearing, which was attended by Rumsfeld:

I think on my dying day, I'll remember September 11th, when I was with Donald Rumsfeld in the Pentagon for breakfast that morning. He invited me and half-a-dozen members [of Congress], I think, over to the Pentagon. And the subject of the conversation Donald Rumsfeld was interested in was: the military had been downsized during the '90s since the fall of the Berlin Wall. And what we were going to do about [the] situation is we had another--the word you [i.e. Rumsfeld] used was "incident," I remember, in the conversation, sitting in the room right off of his office for coffee that morning. And he was trying to make certain that we were prepared for something that we might not expect. [1]

Mica, who in September 2001 was the chairman of the House Subcommittee on Aviation [2], has previously commented: "Little did we know that within a few minutes of the end of our conversation and actually at the end of our breakfast, that our world would change and that incident that we talked about would be happening." [3]

Mica's remarkable account is similar to Rumsfeld's own recollection of the breakfast meeting on 9/11. He told CNN's Larry King: "I had said ... that sometime in the next two, four, six, eight, ten, twelve months there would be an event that would occur in the world that would be sufficiently shocking that it would remind people again how important it is to have a strong healthy defense department that contributes to--that underpins peace and stability in our world." Soon afterwards: "[S]omeone walked in and handed [me] a note that said that a plane had just hit the World Trade Center." [4]

Furthermore, this breakfast meeting is curious not just because of Rumsfeld's eerie premonition, but also because numerous key individuals attended it. Then-Secretary of the Army Thomas White, who was at this meeting, has said the "chairmen of the four oversight committees" were there. And, describing the meeting to PBS, he said: "Don Rumsfeld had a breakfast, and virtually every one of the senior officials of the Department of Defense--service chiefs, secretary, deputy, everybody, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. And as that breakfast was breaking up, the first plane had hit the World Trade tower." [5]

How very curious! Right before the 9/11 attacks began, the secretary of defense just happened to be meeting with "virtually every one of the senior officials of the Department of Defense." Perhaps it could have been fortuitous that all these military leaders were together at this time, ready to leap into action and coordinate a response to the unfolding emergency. But this did not happen. As White has said, after the meeting ended: "We all went on with the day's business." (For example, White continued on to give a pre-planned talk at the nearby Army Navy Country Club.) [6]

A strange day, indeed.

Wow, was this the same

Wow, was this the same "breakfast meeting"?

"On the morning of September 11, the three lawmakers Bob Graham, Porter Goss and Jon Kyl (who were part of the Congressional delegation to Pakistan) were having breakfast on Capitol Hill with General Ahmad, the alleged "money-man" (to use the FBI expression) behind the 9/11 hijackers."

No...

Very very interesting...

stuff you got here. I think this is very important to include in speaking engagements with others when refering to such things as Norman Mineta's testimony contradicting that of Cheney's, NORAD stand-down, and the plethora of other factual evidence we have that shows almost crystal-clear coincidence and foreknowledge of the days' events.

Thanks

Thanks for the good words, Mark. All new evidence like this is important, as it really gives activists more 'ammunition' to present to the public. I think we probably only know about 5 percent of what was really going on the day of 9/11. So there is still a huge amount of information waiting to be discovered.

I think we know 80% of what happened on 9/11

it's damage-control ..

"They" (the neo-zionists) where making sure that anyone who is anything and could pull the right strings to derail their coup
was at a location under their control, just as it is no coincidence that the "attacks" happened while virtually every high-ranking
Government-members of all the worlds countries where in either New York for the UN General Assembly or in Washington DC
for the World Government cabinet meeting (Carlyles annual investor-meeting)
This is a thing that american 9-11 truthers tend to overlook
(maybe because YOUR politicians where not held hostage in the US for 4 days but OURS where)
and it makes the Stand-down and the drills even more suspicious ..
They want us to believe that while one of the worlds prime terrorist-targets was in session they decided to send the AirForce to Nova Scotia
leaving the entire East-Cost open and defenseless and instigate total chaos in NORAD ?
It's total bs and not even the incompetence-defense can explain this one away ..

"Fuzzy" Wolfowitz

From Paul Thompson:

"Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz has recently left a meeting with Defense Secretary Rumsfeld around 8:46 a.m (see (Before 8:46 a.m.) September 11, 2001). Wolfowitz later recalls, “We were having a meeting in my office. Someone said a plane had hit the World Trade Center. Then we turned on the television and we started seeing the shots of the second plane hitting, and this is the way I remember it. It’s a little fuzzy. ... There didn’t seem to be much to do about it immediately and we went on with whatever the meeting was."

Read that last sentence carefully.

The Deputy Secretary of Defense just "went on with whatever the meeting was", two months after he warned the West Point graduating class to prepare for "surprise".

His memory of this "searing event" is "a little fuzzy". Is yours?

More on Rumsfeld's Premonitions

Let's connect some dots. Quoting from Chapter 1 of David Ray Griffin’s "The New Pearl Harbor”:

At 8:44, Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld was in the Pentagon talking about terrorism with Representative Christopher Cox.

"Let me tell ya," the Associated Press quoted Rumsfeld as saying, "I've been around the block a few times. There will be another event. There will be another event."[2] And, if he in fact said this, he was right. Two minutes later, at 8:46, Flight 11 crashed into the WTC's North Tower. This was 32 minutes after evidence that the plane had possibly been hijacked and 25 minutes after knowledge that it definitely had been.

Griffin’s Reference [2]: That Rumsfeld made this statement was reported by republican Representative Christopher Cox on September 12, according to an Associated Press story of September 16, 2001, quoted in Thompson, 8:44 AM. Incidentally, as one becomes familiar with the vast amount of material about 9/11 available on the Internet, one learns that there is little about the official account that is uncontested. Even the idea that what hit the North Tower of the WTC was AA Flight 11 has been challenged. In note 32, below, I mention this and some other theories not discussed in the text.

Heres another gem that

Heres another gem that doesn't get much coverage in the "truth" movement...

"You may have heard of Don Rumsfeld's Rules. Soon after taking office the Pentagon published the collected wisdom of the new Secretary of Defense. Here is a good one:Be able to resign. It will improve your value to the President and do wonders for your performance.Good advice and I hope he takes it soon.

But here is the thing that bothers me. The rules were posted 5 days after taking office on Jan 25, 2001 and removed from the web Oct 20, 2002. The rules were modified exactly once. On Sept 10, 2001, a new rule was added to the end of the list which states

"America ain't what's wrong with the world." (Harry Golden)"
